Since Scarlet is touching different aspects of the game (PvE and WvW), could that be a precursor for her being around long after Season 1 of the LS? I would hope so, since I’m pulling for her to become one of our NPC allies in the future. You know, to fight the real enemy – Ellen Kiel.

It does seem like they want to make her into a future ally that sticks around helping us from jail or because she was quote -saved- from the madness. That or someone that used the madness to perform a good deed or even sacrifices herself at the last moment in some heroic way for us redeeming herself.

Personally all those outcomes make me want to vomit in my mouth but if I had to be stuck with one I’d prefer her dead. So I no longer have to see the poorly written/implemented character ever again except in passing. Enough agency has been robbed from other villains and hero’s in this game already. We do not need that to keep happening every month.

But once we save her from her madness, we could put to good use an ally with a genius such as hers. I’m telling you now, Kiel is the bigger threat.

personally i see myself reading the gw2 wiki in a few years, “and scarlet then went on to live in exhile” mostly because Tyria not the continent is huge.. scarlet has been nonchalantly built up as this larger than life adversary yet there could be much, much worse things.. i don’t really expect her to function as anything other than a villain unless extinction is on the line..

no clue what exactly is going to happen though, they simply didn’t give us enough material.. as for the next update, offshoots in wvw were quite annoying but energy probes were simple and interesting enough.. if the trade off is some temporary pvE content in wvw for a new overflow map, i’m willing to give that a try

Scarlet will assassinate Evon Gnashblade during her attack on Lion’s Arch, and then Kiel will take over the BLTC. She will then reward handsomely all of us who have remained her true and faithful minions. ALL HAIL KIEL!

Scarlet doesn’t mess with Mr. E, so don’t worry about the Black Lion Trading Company.

How could u even come close to suggesting this almost pristine failure of a story-arc, Scarlet, to be permanent content? Even if she has a glorious death that marks us who lived this tragic time in GW2 history (quite literally..the story was butchered from the start)….that will not even compensate 1% of the “whole thing”. A good ending doesn’t make a good book.

I do hope that some aspects of the Scarlet living story (event etc.) survives. It does feel like a lot can be done (in a more permanent way) with what we’ve seen up until now (at the very least there’s a lot of art assets that could be used to create new dynamic events in a number of maps). Not necessarily sure if Scarlet herself survives, I have the odd feeling though that she’s actually trying to be the good guy / girl here, taking extreme measures in order to try and defeat a even more extreme adversary (a dragon be my guess). Most of these events could be a sort of trial by fire for the heroes of Tyria. Now if this is the case she might survive, or she might die with a ‘valiant’ death.

You must observe Penguin in his natural habitat… in front of a TV watching MLP. Only then will you realize his quirky preferences.

That said, I shall theory craft. At the end of the LS Season 1, we’ll see that Scarlet is actually being controlled by a powerful being (maybe a Dragon?). The heroes will then attempt to save her, releasing her from the bondage of evil. That’s when Ellen Kiel will emerge as our TRUE nemesis.

I hope whether we forgive Scarlet or not is a choice.

Because I’d choose to send her to the block.

If Scarlet’s bullkitten keeps influencing the upcoming content past the already too long promises of Living World, I’m quitting GW2.

This is the only thing that could keep scarlet alive. If she was truly and utterly possessed…
Although I would rather see her dead and never see her again.
If asked possessed by who my bet would be Abaddon. I know he has been dead for 250 years. But he is a god, and who knows if he reformed in some other realm scarlet reached in her portal accident, or maybe she managed to time travel and Abaddon sensing his impending doom escaped into the future using her as a vessel…

I truly hope I am wrong and we get to kill her by hitting her with a lightweight blunt object repeatedly.

Am I the only one who remembers the amount of innocent people that she has killed in Divinity’s Reach? I’ll scratch my eyes out if she becomes an ally for ANY amount of time.

Well Scarlet does appear to be after Primordus. And the enemy of my enemy…is still a murderous psycho that needs to be put down before she does any more damage.

The only reason Mr. E has any knowledge on Scarlet is because he contributes to her war chest. I could almost admire him for that, as I sit with my feet touching his skinned pelt…

I really don’t think it’s permanent given the fact that Kasmeer and Delaqua are both very determined to stop her plans for the past 4 game updates. This is probably a sum up for a big event leading to the once in for all finale

until the gem store runs out of items to sell it will be permanent…
