Yes, they are back……downsized but they are reintroduced! I love that they’re back, I hope that they put the big version one as a blue-print sometime in season 2.

Siege Devourers were in Eye of the North. If you could defeat them (and their rider), you could ride them yourself.

That one looks mechanical, though… the EOTN ones were real, massive devourers with structures on their backs for the rider.

One siege devourer can still be seen in the event chain in Iron Marches – though it is presented as an independent NPC.

Also, if Siege Devourers are back, can we expect the return of the magnificent Siege Turtles?

That looks like it’s just one heck of an iron armored devourer, and I love it. Wouldn’t call it a siege devourer though.
As for siege turtles, I don’t see why not, the luxons and kurzicks may be gone but no reason to stop using juggernauts and turtles; however, they are on another continent, Cantha.

You also fight one during the Blood Legion storyline in The Bane arena under the Black Citadel.

And as long as we’re wishing for GW1 siege-creatures I’d like to see the junundu again, those things were awesome.

Not sure junundu will be in full force, as the damming of the elon kind of screwed a lot of the desert on that side, they might not be doing so well in a, what I guess would be, a now forested area.

The Desolation was full of Sulphur, I’m not so sure that it would be forest’s now given that the Elon should technically be an Acid river :S

I wouldn’t be surprised if they forgot that though since I think the Movement of the World talks about Elona becoming lush green land? Although the MotW has quite a few errors in it anyway…

While there might not be any reason to stop using siege turtles there is certainly one to stop using juggernauts. Each one of those requires sacrificing a person.

While there might not be any reason to stop using siege turtles there is certainly one to stop using juggernauts. Each one of those requires sacrificing a person.

They turned into the juggernaut though, i’m pretty sure there’d be a list of people willing to do that.
