So, we learned, that Scarlet is using all of the probes to track down some magical thing.
After that, the probe in LA seems to have found what it was looking for.

But we also get to know, that LA was targeted all along.
So how does this fit?
Why put up the probes, if you already know, that its beneath LA?

The reason for targetting LA all along could just be for the purpose of opening the portal to EotM.
