I
Have
Enough.
it’s the only event that doesn’t give credit to me since LA update and next patches.
Is there a known way to complete it or it’s just me i’m stuck?
- Killing mobs don’t work
- healing and give swiftness to ogre don’t work
- running with ogre doing nothing don’t work
- killing + healing + running close to ogre don’t work
Any ideas? couse i’m starting getting really nervous.
Thank you.

You’re not kill enough to get credit. I suggest teaming up and then use AoE attacks to tag enough of them. If you have a guardian, a few spams of the #1 skill is all that you need. Also go for the regular mobs and ignore the vets and higher. They can take longer to kill while the escort may finish before that.

You have to kill at least one mob and have ogres escape, you are obviously failing to accomplish either one of those. It is not a hard mission really so long as you have a few more players doing it with you.

I would suggest forming a group with other players who need the achievement. When you are in a group, your efforts are pooled and you are much more likely to get credit. I would also suggest keeping the path the ogres take as clear as possible prior to the event starting. This would limit the likelihood of you killing a foe that is not associated with the event.
If you kill a foe associated with the event, stay within the event area of effect, the event succeeds and you still do not get credit; file a bug/support ticket.

For event credit nothing ever matters besides DPS. For this you go in with a glass cannon and hope someone else is there to keep them alive.
As others have mentioned above, you need to get kill credit
So two things have to happen:
-At least 1 mob dies
-You get credit for that mob kill (you get exp)
In order to ensure this, you should be in a party killing the ogre with you (mandatory in large zergs) and you have to kill at least one before the end up finishing their run.
Unfortunately, the ogres move too fast that they spawn the other 2 waves, but hopefully the rest of the zerg distracts them long enough.

Like others said, I always team up in things like this. Not only more effective and fun, also good backup and calling for events/targets.

I didn’t need to be teamed up when I did this achievement part. I just threw down some AoE, things died, the ogres were saved and I profited. But something definitely has to die, and you have to get XP from that death for it to count.

In my experience, if you kill an enemy you should get credit; if you don’t see XP pop up on your screen then you more than likely didn’t kill anything. I run the event on my regen warrior so I’m not doing crazy amounts of damage, just adequate damage, but my shouts really help with that event (heals and removes conditions so the ogres can always keep moving at a steady pace).
I notice people will run past downed Toxic Alliance Sylvari without finishing them off, so I always try to do that for them so they can get credit. Another thing you can do is drop AOE or just tag as many things as you can so when someone else kills them you’ll get the XP as well as the credit for the event.
