You felt rushed, followed the wounded Scarlet towards the control room, saw the clock ticking and went through without looting the chest. I can’t be the only one.

The first time I just didn’t see it spawn behind me, and the second time I nearly forgot again. I understand this is all on me and I’m not freaking out asking for a refund or anything, but doesn’t it seem a bit counter-intuitive that the chest appears away from where Scarlet ends up and there’s no way to get back into that room after leaving?

When I did this I wasn’t even aware there was a chest. I was so focused on getting into the instance (and let’s be honest, stunned that we got that far — in an overflow yet!) that I didn’t even know it existed.

Ah well, not like I’m going back into that fight again just to try to get a chest.

I’m lucky I walked right over it. I swear it wasn’t there, but when I walked over it while attacking scarlet, a ‘press shift to loot’ button came up. I was still moving and didn’t hit it in time, but I did see it. I thought it might of been asking if I wanted to pick up a banner, but I still am hopeful enough that I walked back, and there was the button again! I pressed it, THEN the chest appeared and did the opening animation. There were a LOT of players on top of it.
2nd time I did it, I was looking for the chest, saw it, went and got it. it should really be positioned closer to the instance entrance where scarlet is fleeing to.
as an aside, anyone else able to hurt her? I was dealing around 300 damage to her, which will never kill her, but at least it’s something. I have a feeling that it was from conditions.

First time, I didn’t even finish the fight. I entered an OF with 3 other players, and with 3 minutes to go, we had gotten it down maybe to 60%. Then I get the option to ‘join my party’, like they had just entered a dungeon. They HAD finished it, on their map, and I was willing to sacrifice a little story in case I never got this lucky again.

(I didn’t know about the backdoor…)

Second win (after many fails), I did see the chest and snag it, but I nearly missed it too

What the kitten there’s a chest for the Prime Hologram fight?!? Yeah that seems idiotic to not place it in proximity to the door to the story instance. I’m finished with the meta and bored of the update now otherwise, so I won’t be farming that or anything. Still that seems pretty kitten stupid :/

The first time… yes, I didn’t realize there was a chest, although I spam shift+f (my loot command) after almost all fights, so I may have gotten my shinies.

The second time, I saw it and got it before heading in to stomp Scarlet (hubby’s account)

Haven’t made it back to the hologram battle since….

It spawns right where Scarlet starts shuffling away. My problem the first time was the opposite -- looting it and worrying that I hadn’t done appropriate damage to Scarlet.

I’ve looted it every time.

I’ve gotten Scarlet’s Rainbow and Scarlet’s Kiss.

You haven’t learned by now to check for loot after killing champion+ mobs? Come on…

No, I did not ‘forget to loot’ anything.

I have my F key, I have my AoE loot key. I spam them repeatedly after a knight is downed. (before the last patch made beating them all but impossible) I walk around looking for a physical chest when the crowd has mostly dispersed. I have received a reward exactly once. That was Day 1, first fight after patch.

I’ve killed more than 20 Knights. I stopped counting, that number is much higher. I followed the many ‘solutions’ other players have posted regarding grouping, DPS, timing … all to no success.

This is not the only problem this patch has had. Way more can be said regarding the absurdly broken achievements.

Just because some were lucky (repeat LUCKY) enough to have success in avoiding these bugs, does not nullify the vast majority who’ve been shafted.

I’m not a 15 year old in my parents basement. I have RL with responsibilities. The absence of any reward, (loot or deserved achievement) makes the amount of time I’ve wasted attempting the goals in this patch the real crime.

I thought I mashed ‘F’ enough times, I may have used the wrong finger or hit the wrong button. I looked back to make sure there was nothing else to loot before entering the room. Only later noticed my inventory looked suspiciously bare.

Yes, sort of… “Forgot” implies I knew it was there. Never saw it because of the exact reason OP stated.

Yep. It’s right in the center of the room.

I’ve missed other boss chests too because of various reasons (couldn’t find Toypocolypse chest after chasing Toxx all over the place first time, Marrionette chest was obscured by 100+ people emoting). What it comes down to is I should just be paying closer attention, but it would be nice if you could go back into that room before leaving the Breachmaker.

It’s a big giant chest followed by a Zerg of everyone running to the center to loot it. How more obvious does it need to be? Should ArenaNet install store lights and a giant arrow?

Sorry you missed out on it but I just don’t see how anyone could miss it.

You know this made me think I missed some unknown chest in the solo instance because there is NO WAY you missed that giant chest in the middle of the Holo fight.

If you don’t get credit toward the fight, like all world bosses, you will not see the chest… I think.

I’m pretty sure I missed it the first time too, but I’ve gotten it every time since then.

By the way, I missed the reward in the final story instance the first day because the “return to Lion’s Arch” green thing was not at the exit (when the reward is given). I only noticed the second time I did it.
