Hello members of tyria,

Since you know the LS event is still going on, however will the assault knight power core still drop once the living story is over ? I know blade shards can be obtain from aetherblades or even sprocket nodes and the blade plans can be bought from tp and the gift of blades from MF…

So can a Anet mod answer this qns whether will they still be obtainable after event… If not I would make 1 for myself now

I doubt it. And we’ve just had an announcement saying blade shards will cease to drop as of 18th March. So farm or buy up what you need/want now.

Really? Last I read, it was that belongings and heirlooms would stop dropping and be unable to be turned in, but blade shards would be a permanent drop from aetherblade mobs. Might have gone for blueprints too; can’t remember atm. No word on the cores, though.

Blade shards will continue to drop. Also Anet has said that you should keep your blade shards as they will be adding a use for them later.

My supposition is that you will be able to trade blade shards for power cores after this current event, but that’s certainly not a guarantee.

to the OP – yes, I made a mistake. Blade shards will continue to drop in game but there’s been no word about the power cores. I am erring on the safe side and not assuming they will keep dropping, so I would still suggest buying or farming for anything you want/need now while we know they’re available.
