I really enjoyed it. The only thing is it’s buggy, some events don’t work properly, and I keep not getting credits for multiple things I did from start to finish. Those escort quests should not have such a small finish radius, seriously expand it by at least 10x in size. People who are helping with killing mobs should not get cheated out of getting credit if they didn’t get right up to the npc’s when they cross the finishing point.

Other than those buggy things, I had fun.

I still don’t get why people think this update is good. Its the same old zerg fights with nothing to work for other then the ugly back item that doesn’t even look right in GW2 lore.

They are making it very easy for me to quit the game and move to Wildstar.

All i got from this patch are massive lags and delays and rubber banding and disconnects. No fun at all

this has been great. the whole map is littered with stuff to do.

If you want a zerg ball. you got it.
Small group hero stuff. you got it.
Solo roaming. to save the kids? got that too.
Loot variants are outstanding. emphy shards. AND dragonite in one place? how is this a bad thing

VERY WELL DONE!

now if you will excuse me I have things to kill

Agree!

For those who don’t enjoy following the zerg particularly, break away from the pack! The LS content is solo friendly. Exploring the new Lion’s Arch is great, and there’s plenty to do and see.

Actually, a solo player can contribute more to the success of the map than anyone in a zerg. There are LOTS of city dwellers that need to be “motivated” to run for the gates. One person covering the larger of these clusters (like where the Ogre recue spawns) can rescue 30-40 people all by themselves. That’s way more than the zerglings accomplish when you divide up their rescue credit.

Well that does make it more interesting to be honest. I think guerilla type warfare is a nice change from the zerging.

That’s what I’ve been doing. I also noticed that reviving dead citizens/soldiers/etc counts as a rescue. Reviving people is easier in a small group of players, because there’s usualy a cluster of baddies around, and if you hover in one place for too long, the lasers come to get you. But it is completely possible for this event to be un-zerged.

This is one of the best chapters so far!

Firstly the cutscene to set the mood was nicely put together. Great start.

Secondly the whole change to LA was so well done, the visuals, the layout (you could actually move around LA without being in constant danger yet there are hot spots which if by yourself are wise to avoid). Swimming over to see the drill in action was again – so well done. Even the sound of it when you are on the surface and how it changes when you dive down. The Tengu defending their wall was nice to see.

The darkness of it all, the sounds of people crying out. I hated Scarlets comic lines from previous chapters and Majory and Kasmeer’s jokes while in middle of a climactic scene, those lines ruined it previously but they aren’t there anymore. People are dying and the atmosphere reflects that.

The dialogues of people in the camps surrounding Lions Arch are so well done. I feel like there is hundreds of mini stories all happening at once. Tyria feels alive. I went to visit one of my favourite characters Evon.G and I even like what he’s been reduced to. Hopefully after all this is done he’s not still in that position. Even walking past guards and one guard is reporting to his captain about the current situation…. its so good.

I even don’t mind there being zergs, because at times I find myself doing the events with about 6-7 people. It all scales nicely. Of course with zergs you get champ mobs which is a bonus.

Great patch! You’ve set the bar high.

Come on the main city is turned into a battle ground and pure chaos, thats just awesome no matter how you put it. It looks amazing and the settlement camps are also like a completely different area. In terms of gameplay, clearing events with groups of like 10 people is way more efficient then simply zerging.

Its been a long time since I enjoyed the experience of an MMO this much.
