Is there any semi-reliable way to still get blade shards. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I didn’t get to log in yesterday to get my final 100 or so shards for my ascended back piece.

I’m assuming the answer is no, but figured I would ask.

If you have the sprocket generator in your home istance, gathering you may get a blade shard. It’s really slow but it’s the only way now I guess.

They can be mined from sprocket node (if you have one) in your home instance.

Sprocket Generator if you got it in your home instance, possibly Aetherblades in the jumping puzzle and in Edge of the Mists, but that’s unconfirmed by me.

Ah wait. Just saw this in original patch notes. Thought I vaguely remembered.
Will have to check airship puzzle now.

Note: Aetherblade enemies across Tyria now have an added chance to drop Blade Shards. This addition to their drop list is permanent.

You can also convert the sprockets into blades in the mystic forge as well. (Would have to ask someone else the recipe, cause I haven’t used it yet)

Yeah, it’s really useful. Now the Watchwork pick finally really is Pay 2 Win, cause you can use it, if excruciatingly slowly, to make an ascended item.
