I’ve done many cycles so far but have no idea what in the hell ‘Rally point defense’ is..
So haven’t been able to complete daily so far.

The daily is to succeed at three defend the * events. Defend the Ogres, Defend the Dolyaks, Defend the Children.. Moas, whatever. Finish any of them three times. I’m pretty sure I got it entirely on Dolyaks.

I’ve just did a defend the dolyak event and got silver.. do I need gold to get it to count for daily?

Did it succeed? I don’t see why it would need gold. Do two more.

Maybe you need to, oh-I-dont-know, do the “Defend the Rally Point” events?

Not escort missions, not miasma events, the ones called explicitly Rally Point defense. Keep an eye on your map for shield icons for events, they pop up occasionally. Though I find making three the requirement for daily a bit much, I had to do three runs to manage it because they’re over so quickly with the zerg taking them apart.

I think there is an issue to where participating in and successfully completing those defend events do not count toward the achievement if you’ve not first talked to the NPC at the refugee camps and then advance the LS tracker to tell you to enter LA. Going into LA without first talking to the NPC refugee director guy seems to cause some achievements to not get tracked properly due to the LS tracker not being advanced.

I believe the rally point defense events don’t occur in the main servers (ie not overflow) as a result of the maps not ending properly.

I dunno, I got the daily and I have yet to see a main server since the event went live.

Nope, those are escorts. The three you need for the daily are the point defense events. There are three of them …

• One where the Mystic Forge used to be
• One in Fort Marriner
• One on the East side of the map at Postern Ward.

These events are stationary, there are several waves and you must defeat them before the guards morale bar drops to zero.

There is also LS achievements (one for each location) for making sure that none of the point defense events fail for that location.

There are 3 types of events in LA:
* Defend the Rally Points, those are “near” the active WP, and are the ones that are shown in the mail you receive. There is one in Fort Mariner, one in the bank and another near the JP NE of LA. These were the ones for “yesterday” daily.
* Defend the * (kids, ogres, etc). For these to be successful you need to kill all the mobs that spawn along the way. Ogres and Moas are too fast and they overrun the mobs reaching their destination before you can kill all the spawned mobs. Ogres are specially nasty as the mobs are Toxic Alliance and downed knights don’t count as “killed” .
* Prevent the deployment of miasma generators. This is prett straigtforwar: kill wall the waves in the allotted time. So far the only problem I had was with the molten aliance and their “sauron eyes” rapidly spamming flaming AoE.

Commodore Mariner Event is bugged on Gunnar`s Hold and it prevents ALL the “Defend Rally Point” events you need for the daily to start.

I’m noticing a lot more randomness in terms of gold/silver/bronze than normal. I saw a pack of dolyaks pas by, so I killed a single mob behind them and got gold credit for defending the dolyaks.
spend 5 minutes killing close to a hundred vets/elites/couple champs to stop some miasma only to get bronze credit.
I wouldn’t doubt it if you didn’t get credit at all when you thought you should.
