Dear Anet
100% agree.
The last 24 hours have been some of the best GW2 fun I have had.
Whoever decided there should be holes on the bridges made my day. Nothing better than running away from a mob in panic and falling through a small gap, I laughed so hard Also I’m glad Evon survived, that cinematic got me worried…
Great fun and fairly easy achievements, I’m happy!

There’s one on the bridge on the way to the lighthouse where you fall into a little hole and get a little stuck (you can run out to the left) I’ve seen that one claim a few souls already.
Including me the first time. It’s hilarious when it happens to other people it’s not OK when it happens to me. ;(
Res plix.
I finally managed to connect and play yesterday, not ANet’s fault but my computer just died on Sunday.
I’ve got to say this patch has been one of the more fun Scarlet based ones out there.
If Flame and Frost’s opening release had this much chaos and fear for its refugees then its opening would have been solid. It does look like ANet did listen to us a bit in terms of atmosphere.
Though I still have a gut reaction that Scarlet doesn’t/won’t care what we do in this one, because chances are this was one big diversion from her.
I’m willing to cut the story some slack since we’re getting close to the end finally.
If there’s one thing I would love to see it would have been a few smaller instanced missions for solo or 2-3 players.
For example, you’d have the big instanced Lion’s Arch “raid” style activity. Outside amongst the refugees some would cry out to you and ask for specific help.
That would spawn you in a mission for something specific with the miasma countdown for timer’s sake.
Yes the rewards wouldn’t be as big compared to the Lion’s Arch main event, but it would give those who prefer smaller missions some fun as well.
Also funny is taking a running leap off a familiar cliff expecting water and getting … mud and death. Happened to me enough that I stopped jumping. Bet I looked pretty funny though.
Zergfest all over town, ppl are doing it for loot and you call this great?
I sure hope that when we assault Scarlets flying drill we get a 5man dungeon and not a mindless zergfest clusterf like Nightmare tower was.

Yes, I believe we DID call large scale open world content GREAT! tyvm
Zergfest all over town, ppl are doing it for loot and you call this great?
Yes because ANet is attempting to give content to different types of players.
If you want the coordinated big fights there’s the revamped Teq, Wurms, and there was the giant puppet.
If you wanted smaller coordinated events there’s dungeons and Fractals.
For big stompy zergy action, Queen’s Jubilee and WvW (if you are into PvP action).
I like that Lion’s Arch is now borked six ways to Sunday and flying into the Mists in a handbasket. Just because people are doing the zerg routine doesn’t mean you need to as well. Group with close friends and take on the objectives the zerg aren’t handling right now.

The idea of a new dungeon would be fun.
Much like the Molten and Twilight Assault, I could see ANet making it a fun story driven event. What I want most of all is Scarlet dead in it.
I loved it too.
And I enjoy the fact that it actually rewards players to split up and do their own thing in smaller groups to help boost the loot that everyone gets.
It actually punishes zergs, even though people just want to complain about how they see them.
If you don’t like that people are zerging at the time you’re playing, speak up in chat and try and coordinate smaller groups. Most people who zerg in it are people who probably aren’t even sure what to do to get the rewards in the first place. If all players see in the chat are people talking about moa’s and miasma events, most players won’t go looking for much else.

I hope that Scarlet’s death is accessible to everyone, if it’s an instance then it should have both 1 player and 5 player options.
I hate her more for the fact that she simply walked out while mysteriously invulnerable during the Queens Jubilee than anything else, that was seriously annoying. Anyway.
On the zerg fest of course it’s a zerg fest, it’s open world content where the story focusses the players on a particular area, zergs are unavoidable. However, the fact that there are multiple events at the same time is also good as it spreads people out, I was playing last night about 8PM and spent most of the time in small groups rather than large ones. I only was in large groups during the northern events near the bank.
As for “people are doing it for loot” I don’t see how that’s a complaint at all, people do things in games that they find rewarding, some people do it for the loot, for the joy of opening bags and seeing what’s in there, how is that bad?
