I’m looking at my monthly achievements and I have 1 dungeon completed.

I ‘rarely’ do dungeons, it’s something I would remember doing today.

That leaves LA, or the Southsun Survival activity as an instanced area I went to.

Does doing the LA event every hour count as a dungeon?

The Lion’s Arch event every hour does count as a dungeon, yes. I’m not sure if that was intentional, but it is rewarding people for their monthly progress.

I did one event and we saved 1200 citizens and I only got 1 count. I should have gotten 5?

Each tier (100, 300, 600, 900, 1200) counts for me as +1 succeeded event.

It does. This month I will get the monthly for dungeons done. For once.

No worries, just wanted to make sure I understood and wasn’t missing something by participating in the wrongs things!

Counts for monthly but not the daily.

the daily is for explorable so guess LA must be classed as a story dungeon

And thank goodness too. I primarily WvW so this was a nice bonus! I hope it was intended.

I suspect it’s based on how the reward is presented.
