Idk, while I would love to gut her myself part of me really does hope she gets completely shredded by whatever has been messing with her head when she finally encounters it in the flesh.

What makes you think that Living World Season 1 won’t end on a cliff hanger? They want you to tune in for Season 2, after all!
Season Two: Scarlet Strikes Back!
New, improved Drill Star nears completion…
Poor Mace Windu…. his purple lightsaber deserved better.
Dakka Warforge- Level 80 Charr Engineer
Xairro – Level 80 Asura Revenant
There is no way I would tune in for a season 2 if they end it on a cliffhanger. They’ve already been dragging this out for a year.

I am 99% sure the Scarlet side of the story is coming to an end. But whatever she is going to unleash under LA is here to stay for season 2…

Dragon appears and eats scarlet in one bite. LS over…goodbye
I am just going to say i will be disappointed with anything less then the utter destruction of LA and the inability to rebuild it. I do not want to see any patches with the theme of rebuild LA, i would rather see help build a new city in this other place. Make LA a permanent 80 zone. If scarlet awakes something have it and its minions be what will inhabit this map going forward.

That would be kind of a bad spot for a level 80 zone, don’t you think? Not only because it’s right in the middle of lower level zones, but because it becomes an incredibly EASY level 80 zone to get to when compared to most of the others.
IF she awakens something nasty, it can destroy the rest of the city, but then it needs to leave. Take off across the water, and come to land somewhere else so we have to chase it down, after fighting our way through a few higher level zones to get to it. Otherwise, we pretty much have it surrounded and it would either be dead soon, or we’d die trying to kill it before it can spread out. Either way, LA is pretty much in the center of the three orders that make up the Pact, so the fight would happen pretty quickly.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
At this point I really don’t care as long as it ends. The battle for Lion’s Arch just solidifies the ridiculous, over the top list of impossible feats that made Scarlet such a cringeworthy lorebreaking character to begin with.
Scarlet might live for season 2 LS
Asura – Desolation
Scarlet might live for season 2 LS
I do half expect an ending in which she is successfully “exorcised” and returns to her old self. She will be given a chance to redeeem herself perhaps?
Have Scarlet die, but have the elder dragon wake up in L.A for season 2!

Wayfarer Foothills connects directly to Frostgorge Sound. Made that mistake the the first time I found that entrance.
My point is, what does it’s location have to do with the price of fish in Norway?

Okay, I guess you have a point there.
But plot-wise, putting a huge threat right in the middle of everything would mean that it’s instantly the center of attention. Either we’d kill it quickly, or it would kill us quickly. Both outcomes are not good for a long, engaging battle. It would basically be the Scarlet invasion all over again, just with new opponents.
If it runs, then we have to take time to find out where it went and chase after it. Build forts and strongholds in whatever area it corrupted so we have a place to gather and fight from. Instead of being a big boss fight right away, it becomes a long campaign.

I’m kind of hoping Anet stick with the true spirit of GW2 and make the end of the story all about trolling the playerbase by having someone else defeat Scarlet and take all the credit.
Or even better, have Traherne come in and take the credit, and then Destiny’s edge swoop in and take his credit, and then finish it with Destiny’s Edge 2.0 come in at the last minute and trump both of them.

My ideal ending is a cutscene where Rox kills Scarlet with zero player involvement.

If it is a cliff hanger….. I will go kittens on the person who approve of this….. stop with the stupid tactics of trying to make people stay in the game a bit longer, you know that when TESO comes out, you are going to lose some players, doing this might add more players dropping……….
A good story is knowing when to end it properly before thinking about continuing…..
if you want to continue the story from there, end it and make people go after something ELSE that is behind that story…. not make people wait for a conclusion to the first story in another story………
My opinion anyway……
TESO will be P2P, at least for the PC. I don’t see a lot of people jumping ship unless it’s really, really epic.

My ultimate ending would be something like:
Starts with a lengthy duel with scarlet that focuses around disabling a series of force fields while trying to catch up with her teleporting antics, only to have it end in utter failure.
Then, as Scarlet stands feet away from her escape portal completely protected by force fields shouting “die die die die die (etc.)” at us followed by a lengthy mockery of our efforts in LA, Traherne jump out from behind a bush and brutally beats Scarlet’s head in with a rock.
Then Traherne looks up at the player(s), covered in plant gore, and whispers “This ended well”.

So you want her to kill the dragon that appears, leaving the players standing in the dust?
Well that would surely be a popular choice…

Make her go out like a punk or not, either way let her go out.
Last thing I want is for her to start stinking up season two with her presence.

The people of Lion’s Arch would have to be braindead to do this. Keep in mind that while Scarlet has been supposedly controlled by this thing the whole time, she’s also enjoyed the killing and maiming and the havoc she’s caused. She’s no hero.
Immortalizing and honoring her would be an insult to everyone she’s killed.

Anyone who’s finished Fable 2 knows how disappointing an underwhelming final boss can be (in Fable 2 he literally just stood there, and if you waited to long to one-shot him, an NPC would do it for you). So if they do anything like that, I’ll be severely disappointed.
If what she’s drilling for is indeed an elder dragon, I could live with an overly dramatic cinematic in which she is killed by said dragon. But it has to be extremely dramatic and with lots of slow-motions so that we can all enjoy it to its fullest.

She would be teamed up with Trahearne, of course.

I for one think Caith might be the one to kill her.
Scarlet said she knew about Caithe’s dark secret, so maybe in the middle of sharing that with us, Caithe might decide to silence her.

Well we all know how Mace Windu turned up (or down) I really hope that after a year, the Scarlet encounter is massive, tough as nails challenging and worthy of everything we’ve been through.
Considering what we have gone through so far, the only thing that would satisfy me is if she died somewhere offscreen, for some laughable reasons, with world moving on and nobody even noticing. Anything above that would give her more recognition than she’s worth.
Which is why i am sad that she’ll likely unearth in LA something worthy of notice (probably a dragon). And that she ravaged the city at all.The very idea that her actions will leave a mark on the game give me a bad taste.
Remember, remember, 15th of November

my prediction:
jungle dragon awakens, scarlet finally breaks free from his mind control, does some magical stuff and seals the dragon sacrificing herself, the sealed dragon remains at LA and his “corruption” turns the whole area into a dense jungle zone, the dragon itself becomes some kind of jumping puzzle
