Getting More Blade Shards
Aether’s in the Aether puzzle in Gen Fields.
Thanks so much!
You can still get Blade Shards through the following ways:
1. Occasional drop from the Sprocket node in your Home Instance.
2. Kill Aetherblades in the Not So Secret Jumping Puzzle in Gendarran Fields.
3. Kill Aetherblades in the Aetherpath of the Twilight Arbor dungeon.
4. Kill Aetherblades in the Edge of the Mists map (they hang out in the center, but be careful. These ones are a lot more lethal than the ones found in the open world).
You can also promote shards in the Mystic forge, which is the fasted (and most expensive way):
1 ea t1 and t2 dust, 50 watchwork sprockets and 1 blade shard give you back 10-15 bade shards.

I must have missed something. I went to the jumping puzzle in Gendarran Fields and killed a lot of skales, ghostly pirates, and blue moas, but I found no aetherblades.
I wish I had a sprocket node in my home instance. I missed so much taking a break from GW2. :(

You’re looking in the wrong JP. XD That one with the skales/pirates/moas is the Swashbuckler’s Cove JP. The Not So Secret JP with the Aetherblades is to the west, accessed by jumping up some steam platforms near the ettin cave.
I never knew it was literally called “Not So Secret”
it’s like one of those riddles where a random Word is capitalized and it turns out to be someone’s name.

LOL. Thanks! I finally found them. Now to farm them like mad.

I wish they had some in the world somewhere: I am terrible at JP and don’t WvW.
Anyone know if there are blade shards in the aetherblade cache chests?
Just watched an old video of the JP, and wondered if anet might have added them to those chest as well, lol.
And don’t forget aetherblade fractals!
I wish they would just unbind them so they can be traded on TP

Yeah, the Mystic Forge is by far the best way about it. I tried killing Aetherblades but the drop rate is awful.
If you can afford to make Ascended gear, you can definitely afford to just buy the Sprockets for the Mystic Forge. Save yourself some trouble. =)
