The bubble on the house is due to a Priory personal story. The Asura inventor who lives there has numerous defense mechanisms set up that you need to get through to talk to her before the Battle of Claw Island. It makes sense that the same defenses would trigger when Lion’s Arch is attacked.

You can’t rob the bank because nothing is actually stored there, banks operate as extradimensional spaces, which is why you can access things inside it from any bank in the world. When the bankers were killed in Scarlet’s initial attack, the ability to access said extradimensional spaces in Lion’s Arch was lost.

Vigil Mega-Lasers are hard to transport. And do you really want Tequatl to roam free? Can you imagine the complaints on the forums if we were unable to complete Tequatl for a few weeks because the Mega-Laser was being lugged north through Sparkfly Fen?

The Tengu are sniping people to protect their home. They see hostile Charr (Flame Legion), Sylvari (Nightmare Court), Asura (Inquest), Humans and Norn (Aetherblades) causing havoc and destroying things right on their doorstep. How are they going to tell the good guys from the bad guys, when they’re all the same race? Don’t they all look alike to a Tengu? So they all die.

Bank has coins piled up in that broken vault for all to see, have a look. And according to Rox, Tequatl is dead already, so Laser is free to use, and pact has a number of airships to use for transport if an asura gate is not available.

Asura personal defense system… and the reason every race needs to put more effort into utilizing asura technology. If we had one of those inside the lion fountain with enough power to encircle the city none of this would have happened.

I’m going to say that’s the way in. Most likely next update or for the final part of the story that’s going to get us inside the drill.

Pact tech keeps out undead, and possibly other dragon minions. It doesn’t do anything to the living.

Because the forums are set up to use a formatting style other than BB, so it isn’t necessarily ideal.

Some other questions…

About the mega-laser… who says Tequatl is dead?… we know ONE tequatl is dead, but we don’t know if it works like the Claw of Jormag or The Shatterer, as in the name being a title that is given to another dragon (or another is created) when the current one dies. After all, IIRC Tequatl isn’t really his actual name (if he has one), but it’s how the Hylek refer to him, meaning “the one in darkness” (IIRC) in their language.

About pact technology, AFAIK most of their technology was custom made to fight Zaithan and undead, like the charr artillery that destroys undead and the asuran cannons that suck magic… none would be useful at all to fight Scarlet’s minions or technology.

Besides, maybe they are planning on doing something but they haven’t had the time. Once we go into Lion’s Arch we have to escort Evon’s dolyaks out of Lion’s Arch, when when we go out in the refugee camp in the vigil keep we see him there selling his wares with the dolyaks around, so chronologically the order of how it happens is the attack to Lion’s Arch (our characters weren’t there when it happened), then we rush in to save what we can, then everything else that happens in the refugee camps (Evon being conscripted, having to supply with weapons and stuff for free, things like that), maybe in the next episode we will have a big effort by the pact and all other forces to try to reclaim Lion’s Arch.

And about the coins…. well, appearances are everything… maybe those aren’t really coins but iron cast in the shape of piles of coins and painted golden..

Well the real question to this thread… which I totally fixed… Is this “madness” scarlet keeps ranting on about.. is it an Elder Dragon? The Mursaat? What do you guys speculate the purpose of this drill is. What is this madness in her head.
