Any tips? Currently being chain 1-shotted at least 3 times per wave of enemies. By the end of the event my equipment is nearly full red 20s repair… Will switching from berserker’s armor to Soldier’s armor help much? Should I use different traits or something? Most of the kills are seemingly random and unavoidable, can’t see anything on the screen anyway with 800 players casting spells.

Playing a thief and trying to keep my distance with Shortbow but it’s not really helping.

Try another character but yes being a glass cannon will get you killed. Esp as a Thief.
Try a tankier class or buy another armor set.

Experiencing the same thing on my Mesmer. Even at range with Greatsword, one sec I’m at 70% health and doing great, next sec I’m downed right out of the blue. Kinda sucks and it’s really a bit trolly of the dev’s (again). Especially as you said OP, it’s chain attacks. Beside the fact that I’m getting hit for almost 11k while in Knights armor! Most are 3-5k which is manageable if I could see it coming.

Due to the cost of gear, there’s no way I’d spend the gold on replacement exotics for my Mesmer. I’d rather switch to my Warrior or and uplevel.

Defensive stats won’t help. These attacks are meant to kill.
