Where should I start? The good parts of this finale of LW. Conceptually a great idea. In practice halfway decent before ANET decided to disable drops then give the community the silent treatment.

There was no bug with the knight drops ANET made the decision that they didn’t want players getting drops. Either it was becasue they wanted players to play the event the same way they envisioned it to play or becasue they are stingy. It makes no difference. The end result is the same insufficient rewards. Insufficient core drops.

It wasn’t an issue before when we could zerg the meta. Let me make it clear ANET the decision of the players to zerg your meta is becasue of two reasons. The achievements were not obtainable with doing it the right way. The loot was bad with doing it the right way.

The question remains why would you give players thousands and thousands of blade shards but create a situation where even if a player farmed your event every day all day for two weeks they wouldn’t have enough cores to color their back piece.

Conceptually a great idea in practice terribly thought out and implemented. What is your issue with rewarding players for what is supposed to be the final boss fight of a year long event anyways. You should of just left it alone the way it was now you created problems that never existed because you wanted to be stingy to players and force them to play your way which quite frankly sucks.

Thank you for reading.

ANet does not make not grindy games or updates.

Rule 1 of a grindy game: Make things people want as rare as possible (knight cores). They weren’t rare enough at the beginning, ANet fixed that by practically patching them out. Now they are back in, just rarer than before.

See, ANet is just true to themselves, keeping the grind going and going and goin…
