The problem with the way it’s set up is that if you’re in a group that just barely makes the timers, you’re looking at about 40? minutes of fighting which leaves you little time for running around doing the events surrounding it.. Especially considering everyone is after the champions at first..

This, there’s just no time between Knights/Holo’s to do the events, unless you fail the Knights.

What do the Misasma have to do with ascended? Do those events drop Ascended weapons and armor?

Miasma have a chance to drop ascended. Its rather low. That said, its currently better than your chances of seeing Holograms on my server.

I can craft full ascended ten times over before I EVER get a drop.

What else are you doing.

The miasma events simply aren’t timed well with the main scarlet fight. If you’re trying to take down the Knights and Scarlet, there’s just no time to do the Miasmas. Even the various champions are difficult to do. That’s the main reason they’re not being completed.

They only last about nine or ten minutes, but even during Escape from Lion’s Arch they were seemingly difficult to coordinate.

Just not interested in doing Lottery content. Any content, especially temporary content, with drop rates under .5% can and should just go unplayed.

If I want bags or to fill a bloodlust stack, I’ll take a swipe at a Miasma event. That is if I’m running past one to begin with.

Not sure what do you mean by that question. Just in case, i will explain in detail what i meant:

If you are interested in ascended, doing miasma events is not the way you should go. The chances of getting an ascended gear drop from this event are so low, that it’s simply not cost effective. It’s way better to farm money/mats and craft them directly.

If you are interested in having enough money for your daily expenses, you should look for work, not for a casino.

If you are interested in ascended, doing miasma events is not the way you should go. The chances of getting an ascended gear drop from this event are so low, that it’s simply not cost effective. It’s way better to farm money/mats and craft them directly.

My question to you is simple, Boneheart: why are you being so combative towards honest and fairly understandable reasons/answers?

To be fair you probably have just as high chance to get an Ascended chest from the Champion Boxes as you have from the Maisma events, and thus it is most likely a higher chance to get it by doing the Knights (which gives 6 of the boxes if you succeed).

Yeah they do. It’s all a matter of when the miasma dispensers are activated.

Reward for effort should not factor in chance. This is why the game is such an RNG fest. An event that takes this long should give all active participants better loot.

Asides the fact that it’s probably the only reason most people would visit LA now.

The drop rates in this game are so abysmal that it’s just faster to craft.
And if you ever get a drop, you might not get the stats you want.

When you craft an item yourself, the chance of having the item at the end is 100%.

Which isn’t right….

The Time it takes for 1 character to make an ascended item (with no money or crafting materials), should be equal to the time it would take to get an ascended item just by killing everything in sight.

Crafting shouldn’t trump other aspects of the game when it comes to getting good gear. It should simply be equal.
