Did anyone else notice the similarities between the Escape from LA trailer and the introductory cinematic from Prophecies (“The last day dawns on the Kingdom of Ascalon”)?
It seems like a throw-back to me, I enjoy the little bits of nostalgia the game sometimes invokes. It has a classic GW1 track, the similar “fly-through” style of the originals, and the voice is quite close with a somewhat parallel message… just this new trailer also includes some of the aftermath ; )
Hopefully the nod to the fate of Ascalon and the start of the first game signifies a very permanent impact, instead of something that gets gradually rolled back in future patches. There’s no going back to Pre-searing Ascalon ^.^
Can’t wait to see what is in store.
