I have a strong suspicion that eventually Scarlet Briar / Ceara will somehow overcome whatever is influencing her and then we’re going to need her insights gleaned from the Eternal Alchemy to help take down some greater enemy, which, as most of us assume, is probably a dragon. Her many alliances and inventions will possibly be vital to overcoming that enemy, particularly the marionette. Bonus points if she goes down in a blaze of glory in typical redeemed villain fashion.

I don’t think it’s going to happen with this release. I just kind of have a feeling that’s where this is going. Scarlet always seemed to me like she was being set up to pull some sort of character reversal later on, and the most recent releases only made it seem all the more likely.

Sure, why not. It’s all about Scarlet. She did all the machinations to supposedly wake the dragon unhindered by anyone, so, for sure, at the end have her do a 180 and kill it all by herself as well.

And we can watch. Like a TV show. Who needs us for anything but scene decoration.

And what better way to tell us how unimportant we are to THE STORY than to cheat us of any role in finally taking her down.

I just hope she’s dead, and this terrible story can end.

Instead LA is a explorable zone dedicated to her and Mai Trin can’t shuttup about how great she is over in the mists. Seriously, every time you go taking the big area in the center of the map, mai starts blabbing about scarlet.

Hopefully, Mai Trin leaves the mists and gets it. Hopefully, we don’t have to deal with a permanent zone of scarlet rejects.

The worst part of the trailer was the fact that the part of LA that will be irreparably destroyed, regardless of what anet does with the zone, is the old GW1 LA.
