If you have witness the conversation between Evon Gnashblade and Heal-o-Tron, you will know that Heal-o-Tron is getting a body that can withstand attacks but no weapons of any sort. Which Evon was surprised at such a request.
So, I am guessing that Heal-o-tron will come in and save the day if there is an assault to retake Lion’s Arch
OR
in a situation where we thought we had Scarlet cornered on for her to turn the tables on us. Cue entrance by Heal-o-tron to come and tanked at least a blast from one of Scarlet’s weapon…… either her rifle or her aether laser…….
what do you all think?

Actually I had almost brushed this conversation off at first, as yet another gag.
However… a little later I witnessed his conversation in the refugee camp (he moves in between the camp and keep) with the healer. Apparently, he was able to analyze the miasma and find a way to neutralize it with sub-aether harmonics in a localized energy field, or something. Maybe it’s just this pesky golem’s wishful thinking… /shrug.
Or maybe he’s about to boost his power to a full-blown Miasma-shredding device

It’s going to be so weird if what started as a little two-bit comedic relief character ends up being one of the living story’s biggest heroes.

I officially want to pay Evon to give him what he needs. His analysis of the miasma sounds like she added some Flame Legion mumbo jumbo and Molepeople tech to her Nightmare Court/Krait miasma, which kinda fits Scarlett. And. how do I get word to Ellen to listen to the lil bugger?

We all know that Trahearne is going to save us. He did it before.

I believe that too. heal o tron is probably getting a healing power, toughness, vitality set to wipe out the miasma.

Imma be super disappoint if the lil guy isn’t the HERO of all Tyria. I love him. I hope he gets transformed intoa super golem for the last event and then something happens at the end to revert him, but he gets a lil house to live in with the minstrel. That’d be dope.

Heal-o-tron, after he gets those upgrades he wants, will rename himself as Tank-o-tron and tank Scarlet’s forces while we defeat them.

Another nudge to the fact that this game has no designated tank role requirement.

Isn’t it convenient that this otherwise unremarkable golem is suddenly able to take on the toxics on Tyria’s greatest evil genius?
Tyria used to be a place where having the ability to do something or specialised knowledge in a field actually meant something. Now it’s a place where a character is handed the ability or knowledge to do things (Marjory is a toxin expert that can rival Scarlet who studied under hylek, Kasmeer is a mesmer expert that can remove illusions no-one else seemed to be bothering about) because the Living Story needs it.
Before the Living Story we had a world full of talented people who took on challenges and problems and dedicated their lives to being useful at what they did. Alone they were experts in their field, but when you looked at the big picture Tyria had a lot of people spread across all the different factions and conflicts that could deal with different threats. Now we have a small cast that coincidentally have the answer to every problem in their previously unknown skill sets.
When I read that dialogue I expected o-Tron to perform a similair role to the anti-toxin canisters in the Tower of Nightmares. It didn’t make sense storywise to me (why would a Consortium golem have any ability to deal with toxins) but the way it was written this last update it seems they have a role for the golem.
I really don’t think I’ll be able to take Tyria seriously any more if o-Tron plays a vital role in the final fight. If Scarlet’s resume of unbelievable accomplishments wasn’t the lore jumping the shark, a gag robot being pivotal in the fight with the forces that destroyed the most prominent city in Tyria… I don’t even know.

(why would a Consortium golem have any ability to deal with toxins)
Well, the consortium was trying to deal with the strange toxic flowers that were enraging the animals of southsun cove. It makes sense that they would have a golem that could investigate that situation.

It’s Hob-o-Tron, not Hobo-Tron. He became that after being the Job-o-Tron on Southsun.

Someone told me there was a data mining result that found a reference to Hero-tron or he-ro-tron or something like that, but I’m not sure if that was accurate or a false rumor.

Neutralize it with harmonics- and note that the chassis he commissioned from evon included a powerful amplifier

He shall die a noble and heroic death. A good death. A memorable death. One that shall be remembered by every Tyrian citizen saved by his actions. His story shall be passed on from one generation to the next and he shall have a monument built after his own liking to commemorate his selfless deeds. All hail TRON!

Even better, we can build another golem in his likeness. Then we can remember him AND have menial labor done.

Some golems are made great, others have greatness programmed into them. Other golems upgrade to greatness in order to deal with a difficulty they have with the authorities.

He’s going to be a Miasma Tank that allows us to gain access to the Breachmaker. Calling it now.
