I mean..it would be harsh i know,but how is the xp there?I went once with a toon and not only i got obliderated but i didnt get the assist for the quest as i somehow dealt 0 or pretty minor dmg to the boss!(the molten boss)!So,is LA a way for lvling easier(?) than train for toons?(I hate the train and i only do lvling the normal way,but KA cycle is kinda fan)

My new ele started the event at lvl 3 and he’s 38 now.

The exp is good if you can get the kill credit. Similar to the way Queen’s Jubliee worked.

Pretty much as a undergeared/low level player I feel you benefit better by joining a party and sticking with them. Since you have more people doing damage for you, you aren’t losing out on a lot (exp and loot wise). Because otherwise you are just struggling for enough damage usually. Also, if you have a character that does lots of AoE damage to get tags you can benefit as well.

If you can find a good party and an overflow that ends up zerging the events then it is very good xp. I leveled my guardian from 60 to 80 in about 6-7 hours of running the events there with XP booster on. And now I’m leveling my necro there and also using the lost belongings to buy tomes of knowledge.

I’m primarily a WvW player but I’ve been leveling an alt Elementalist there semi-casually. I started in the 20’s ankitten ow level 62 through a combination of kill/event XP as well as the Tomes of Knowledge I purchased from the event vendors.

I always wear level-appropriate gear so I’m even able to contribute to the group events and kill things on my own. ::thumbsup::

The upscaling works well if your gear is roughly the right level.

You can get almost two levels per run, between the Tomes of Knowledge (bought with Found Belongings) and the base XP from zerging. And it is a great time to run boosters, because you know you’ll be in action constantly.

I’ve gotten my ele from 26 to 59, and my engi from 67 to 80 already.

I logged onto my low-level throwaway character, who was level 6 at the time, accidentally in LA. I thought this Ranger would die right away. Surprisingly, she did very well, and got lots of XP and loot. So, I think you can take low-levels in, and do ok. =)

Yeah, the event is superb for leveling. Event and Kill XP come pouring in and you can easily save up the ‘found items’ or whatever they’re called and then trade them in. 100 of them will buy you a free level up.

Been using my warrior alt for the event since it started. It’s been great XP and lotsa fun. Since you get up-leveled to 80, it doesn’t seem any harder than it was with my main. Just dodge often and watch for animations. Ranged fighting helps. I think I’ve gained about 10 levels since event launched.
