Yet no one seemed to take me seriously when I said that 2 months ago.
Just because everyone says it now doesnt mean it is true remember. At that time this theory already belonged to the possible theories.

I recall this being a fairly popular theory for a while now actually.

What’s your point?
This has been an ongoing theory for a long time now, you weren’t the first and no one took anyone with similar theories seriously early on. It’s got more attention recently because people are connecting the dots and Mordremoth is making more and more sense. That’s all there is to it.
that, and the reddit leak

Speaking of that leak, could I get a link to it?

But…. But…
There are enraptured super-fans fervently guessing at what’s to come, mind you, and apparently one person in every 10,000-20,000 has guessed correctly. “And we haven’t told them this!” Johanson cackled. "Most of the rest of our fans are all saying, ’You’re crazy! There’s no way that’s what it is – that’s way too cool.’
Are you trying to call dibs on a theory that has been around since even before we found out that the “snake-nosed, silver-tongued person of the city” was a Sylvari?

I don’t know why that last link made me laugh honestly. Like its specifically titled, ‘Why I think Mordremoth is next’ reminds me of someone buying a book on how to do X and the book is titled ‘So you wanna know how to X?’

What matters is the arguments, not if you happen to take a lucky guess.

The issue is that a lot of the people arguing against the theory simply tried to say that it had already been disproved by completely idiotic arguments.
If the discussion was actually productive it would have been a much more enjoyable experience for speculators.
Plus you defining it as ‘a guess’ is one of the major issues with the community. Being right when what you were saying was based on more rational analysis than any other theory doesn’t make what you’re saying a guess- it isn’t a luck based outcome. There were facts, those facts were analysed, and the correct conclusion was reached.
You’re literally trying to diminish the correct answer because it turned out that it was correct. As if everyone was just rolling dice and 6 just so happened to be where it landed. We’ve had multiple short stories, tonnes of lore, and fairly bold-faced foreshading for close to a year, and people still stubbornly insisted Mord was no more likely than Primordus- when one had a heap of evidense and the other had earth-y words in a few random news posts that only resembled Prim when taken completely out of context.
Just do a search for Primordus on Reddit. You’ll get comments like “Tyria is going to be rocked… Primordus confirmed!!1!”, and “Get fired up for… wow Primordus update incoming.”
Edit::
On a hunch, let’s see why you’d have this attitude towards the people who correctly worked out it was Mord months ago.
Ah, I see. Well I just want to be sure that people understand that I’m not dismissing the possibility of Mordremoth/The Jungle Dragon being involved. He could be.
I just find Primordus a more likely candidate. The red eye, the darkness, death and destruction, and an underground threat. All of that spells out Primordus to me.
From a post 20 days ago. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

I guess “no one” includes the hundreds of people on the lore forum, reddit, and I’m sure the living world forums, let alone the other GW2 forums. Just because you didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Because it did.
Also, bragging rights? Don’t exist on the internet.

Sour grapes? I literally said that it COULD BE Mordremoth. I never discounted it, because the evidence pointed both ways. I simply considered Primordus a more likely candidate, because of the drill, the pictures of the eye in the lair, and the final cutscene of Eye of the North (which are perfectly sound arguments). However, I was also the first to post THIS picture and point out that the painting of the dragon does seem to have plant-like tentacles on its back. I care about the evidence, not about who is right or wrong. And so should you.
No, I’ll tell you what is sour grapes. What you just posted.
EDIT: Also, your original arguments for why it would be Mordremoth are still flawed even today. I’ve added my arguments for why I think your arguments back then were flawed, to that old topic. I am a necro after all.
This picture, along with Konig’s original hypothesis that perhaps Mordremoth could corrupt Sylvari through the Dream, were far more compelling arguments than what you presented. So even though the guess was right, you are still wrong.
