I got my Tempered Spinal Blades 3 days after the release of the patch so I dont really remember wether it got accountbound after being soulbound after I upgraded it.
Anyone of you remembers that?
Because I want to get that backpiece, after upgrading it even more in the next living story, to another character.
And if it doesn’t get account bound, how can i do that? I know the trick for weapons and armor with Transmutation Crystals and for ascended/legendary stuff also Transmutation splitters, but i dont know a way for backpieces so far

When you upgrade it you effectively get a brand new item, so it should be account bound and soulbound when you assign the stats.

Is this not true? I haven’t picked my stats for my backpiece yet.

I believe the way it works now (with selecting stats binding it) is how it was intended to work. It was for a while still account bound on selecting stats though.

Possible, but the safest solution is to not pick stats until it’s with the character you mean to wear it.

Yes. You will still be able to unbind it once if you turn it into the R/G/B version.
