See, this is exactly why I wanted to detain her but nooo, everyone appallingly insisted on killing her. This is on all of you, not me. *

remember that Mai Trin was mean to replace the captain that was killed during dragon bash?
i think it can be a clue about what she wanted to do.
Trin was acting at the behest of Scarlet Briar, who wanted an ally on the Captain’s Council for reasons still unknown.
maybe she wanted to do it smoothly but everything turned bad cause Mai Trin was discovered as the killer.

If Scarlet wanted to kill the dragon then she shouldn’t have placed herself against everyone else who ALSO wanted to kill the dragon. If she had a plan then she should have just said “hey, I have a plan, let’s do this thing.”
The power of democracy… Like many people said “hey, Scarlet’s going to attack LA… let’s stop her!” I’m not saying she wanted to kill the dragon, but if she had a plan to stop him, her way of doing it herself would have been the most effective
What was her plan to kill the dragon and why was it the most effective? Why not let the 5 races help you?
Think you read it wrong, I mentioned that “I’m NOT saying she wanted to kill the dragon” (sry bout caps but it’s just to make it clear). Reason why letting the 5 races would be counterproductive thou is that there’s too much politics. By the time she’d have everyone’s (or big enough) support, she would have been too late. But that’s beside the point. She isn’t trying to kill the dragon imo. :P

Again though, that’s still an “evil” way to go about it. If she’d just announced herself, either in public or even secretly, as someone who knew the location of an Elder Dragon and how to kill it, she would have had all the support she needed without having to kill anyone over it. I just don’t see any reason for her to have made the deliberate moves that inevitably made her Tyria’s enemy and therefore led to her destruction. She was smart enough to see all of this coming, so at the very least she would have set up her “master plan” to work to completion even without her.

According to Mordremoth’s twitter, he’s awake because we defeated Scarlet.
Wait, Mord has a Twitter account? What about a Pinterest?

That big grin on her dead face (which, as an aside, took me back to the end of Batman and I could hear “ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha” over and over again in my head) made me think that one of two things has happened:
1. Most Likely: She was fully under the control of the dragon and, having succeeded in her mission, was content in death.
2. Pure Speculation: She was doing the bidding of the dragon by waking him (per the journal entry regarding taking credit), but had also found a way to beat him and that was to use the power of the ley lines to merge her consciousness into the slumbering beast. She didn’t die, she simply left her body and achieved victory, hence the smile.

I think Scarlet Briar will return to guild wars 2 since how come they didn’t add 2 endings one she gets arrested and the other one she dies and if the player chooses to kill her or arrest her option that would effect the player story and the future events evolving around her shouldn’t she be helping you if you spare her life?

same way, why first emperor of china Qin Shi Huang (260–210 BC), when he united chinesse kingdoms , he fight 6 enemy kingdoms in same time, kill all enemy and united china. He executed all soldiers/goverment/king etc, only left common working people alive (he kill 3/4 population of china in process, more ppl then live in europe in that time). He was so succesfull, that his lineage keep controll over china empire for 2000 years, simple bcz he have no opposition from others (bzc he executed them all)
so Scarlet want simply take controll of everythink and then fight dragons with unted forces of tyria, one ruler is alway better then 5 smartguys
