Am I missing something? Is the a trick to this, or do I need to have quicken in order to do this, because Stability sure doesn’t work, teleporting behind her sure doesn’t work, she just knocks me back, no grenades or anything. I’m an Elementalist.

The same to me…
I got like few seconds to finish her but she always knocks back…
even if im playing with full party. Is it bugged or just need to stealth or something?

The cutscene ends:
- Run to her, start the finisher
- The entire ground is now covered in orange
- Wait about 0.5s, DODGE ONCE TO THE SIDE, immediately start the finisher.
- Dodging to the side eliminates the time it takes to activate the finisher again!

This does not require any class or skill, any profession can do it!

Stability does not work, invulnerability does seem to work. I would record a video but … can’t be bothered right now ; ) I’m on a Guardian so I used all the stability and blocks in the world, but they dont work.
The problem I had for the first couple of tries was that I would evade her big AoE and then stomp her the second she pulled of the next AoE. The animations would literally overlap, yet I would fail.
That’s why it’s helpful to dodge sideways. So again: After the cutscene run up to her, dodging the first grenades she might throw, and start your stomp. She then does the huge AoE which you dodge only once, to the side. Dont double dodge back. Right after the dodge, hammer your f key and just watch her vanish.

WHY would they make that stupid cutscene unskippable. I’m sick of wasting my time having to wait for this to play out and then getting owned by her bull abilities that bypass stability and dodging in 5 seconds like it was nothing.

As an Elementalist, you can use two different things to make you invulnerable while finishing, which WILL work for her. The #5 skill on focus in earth attunement makes you invulnerable and you can stomp with it. You can also start the stomp animation and pop Mist Form and get the same effect.

That does not seem to work, when I use Judge’s Intervention it gets me in range of that attack that isn’t blocked by aegis, result sent away then dumped further by AoE.

I assume that this is bugged like the knights. Stability, aegis, intervention, dodging all fail and you get launched into her minefield. I tried damaging her with a ranged attack and then use the finisher but got zapped.

If someone gets the achivement it’s probably by blind luck. I’ll check back after the inevitable bug fix patch.

Did not work. I even applied a second aegis via the third virtue after getting knocked and interventioning back but it makes no difference. What a disappointment. Not to mention that the next two achievements are locked behind this one.

Attempt #4 was enough to get the “dodge-sideways” trick to succeed. As a Guardian I GS #3’d to her, dodged to the side when she lit her AOE, and ran back up to her and Finished her before her second AoE went off. No special skills required, just a bit of timing.

There seems to be some weird effect/bug that causes the finisher to fail if you channel it through her aoe attack. Tried with elixir U→S and got the “Invulnerable” message on her attack, but my character ended the finisher and then just sat there for a second before taking a blast to the face (with no red circle in sight)

Either damaging her right before channeling or canceling your first attempt (during her aoe attack) and then trying again immediately worked for me (I did both on that try, so no idea which part did it)

Warrior solution: after the cinematic i used Rush using a sword (attention don’t get too close cause you are gone) in order to avoid the projectiles. As mentioned above i used stomp – dodge back. After that i stomped her again but the key thing is to use (as also mentioned above) frenzy to cut down the finish move time. That’s it but needs some practise

No, this does NOT work! Dodging to the side moves you FAR away, and by the time you walk back, she’s knocked you back again and then all the AoE is around you and you’re bounced around like a nub.

Why is this achievement not possible to complete?! It’s simply stupid! Fix this, make it do-able. And not just for your pet class Guardian.

Lastly, make the cut scene skip-able. I’m bored to death of waiting for the cut scene to end because I’ve had to attempt this rediculous achievement so many times!

I’ll wait for a patch/fix before trying this again.

I’ve tried these dodging “tricks” and they don’t seem to work. I either get thrown back mid dodge, or I successful dodge the first circle but there is no pause between the first and second circle, she just throws a bomb in my face between the two circles which knocks me back anyway. I managed to sort of do it once but it looked like the finish animation bugged and it didn’t do anything to her.

Has anyone found a way that doesn’t involve bugging the finisher animation between dodge rolls?
