Many players have a large surplus of blade shards after farming Escape from Lion’s Arch—even after creating back gear for all of their alts.

It would be nice if blade shards could be exchanged for other trophies in the next living story event (i.e. exchanged for found heirlooms or found belongings). Players can easily accumulate thousands of blade shards. It would be nice if there was some way to spend them instead of having to destroy them to make room in your inventory and/or bank.

I got 16 alts. XD Still in the process of equipping them all. Getting there though!

Granted there’s no telling how much for the new tiers of backpieces will be needed on the 4th.

Sure, I may have almost 2,000 of them, but that only covers the cost of a couple back pieces.

It would be nice if they went into Collections.

I’m only making one backpiece for my collection, but I’m also holding onto the remaining Blade Shards for now. Why? Remember what happened at the end of the election, folks.

Not to mention that a destroyed city could make use of lots of scrap metal as building material…
