My server can’t seem to beat the living world; one night we were able to defeat the knights, but couldnt defeat the holograms. Zerging is getting old, fast. How close were we to finishing the event? I just want to finish the story, yet I have to rely on my whooooole server to finish a story. 15 minutes of grinding is not fun; it was the first time, but now that I have memorized every attack, it is just a giant health bar I can’t do much about. Should I just go to another sever (which I feel is a very poor solution to a problem), or were we actually close to defeating it? Someone said there was a way to get on the Breachmaker without going through the knights, is that true at all? No Spoilers Please

You do not need an isane zerg in order to beat the Knights. It’s all about the average damage output on the player side.

I didnt’ check every other player after the screenshot fight, which ended with around 1:30 minutes remaing, but there were at least a couple of players without consumables / order vuffs at all, one of them also being an upleveled character.
Repeated it a couple of hours later and finsihed it with just 4 people and over 3 minutes remaining. The other 3 palyers were all upleved and weren’t using consumables at all.

There is a purple portal by Diverse Ledges (where the diving platform was) – you meet up with Lionguard Turma (the Commanding Heights achieve), talk to her, and you’re in. You skip things, but this is how I got the Hero title without having to beat the knights/holos/etc.

vargamonth- thats crazy, I didnt know it scaled that much like it does with champs. I guess we just have a lot of people who dont know what their doing.

The scaling is not exactly linear. Otherwise, I should be able to get better times when soloing it than when 3 random non buffed upleveled characters join me, which doesn’t happen.
It may scale through fixed steps (so every 5 players bring the boss to the next level) and/or it may somehow favour higher amounts of players (which would explain why people is getting better results from mass zerging).
In any case, the event DO SCALE atm and is perfectly doable with a really small amount of people (even soloable, but I guess guardian scepter if fairly OP for this fight and may not be possible with any class) as long as the average player damage output is high enough.

Just went up there to the portal, it told me I required Spinal Blades to get in
Didn’t bother with those, so I was out of luck.

Just guest on Blackgate

Lillith, you can forge up a level 20 backpiece really easily and then you can get in that portal. You’ll have plenty of time once inside to swap back to your statted backpiece.

The blueprint just needs the 4 pieces of it which are cheap on the TP (forge the 4 to get the blueprint). You should be swimming in blade shards, or able to farm 25 of them fast. Iron’s expensive now, hopefully you have the ingots, but again you can farm it around Kessex and Harathi among other places. Dust, eh, TP if you don’t already have it. Then forge it all together, toss the backpiece on, and in to Scarlet you go.
