Thank you for Scarlet, Anet <3
I agree completely. Honestly, I never understood this Scarlet-hate. I suspect that a lot of people were on the fence, but when they saw others hating on Scarlet they thought—“Oh hey, better jump on the bandwagon!”
I honestly felt bad when I killed Scarlet. There’s no possible way she can be redeemed after her actions, but it still made me sad her life had to end that way.
I loved her from pretty much the beginning. And properly heartbroken now.
I will miss Scarlet. She was so cute <3
I remember her playhouse (crown pavilion) – funny door that knocks you back when you touch it. Her crazy laugh and dialogs.
One of my alts still keeps her gift in his mail box.
Thank you for Scarlet, Anet <3

I’ve defended Scarlet story for a while now! I loved the adventure of discovering her mindset update after update! I thought it was really good how anet slowly unveiled her and developed her. Other games rush things way too much!
I never like Scarlet and always thought she was such a sideshow for the story they could have been doing instead. It wasn’t so much that I hated Scarlet herself, I just thought from a lore perspective there were so many more interesting story arcs that could have been done not to mention mysteries left over from GW1 that could easily tie into another dragon.
But….
That changed when I talked to a guildy of mine who is a lore junkie. He came to the conclusion that Scarlet seems like a big deal now, but would just be a conduit to something way bigger. And that began to make sense to me. Looks like he was right.

I’m glad her death has opened the door to bigger possibilities.
Now I have more interest in what falls out from all this compared to the story building up to it.
