If Evon had won over Kiel, would the outcome of this patch have been different?

Nope.
All indicates that the end of the living story has been rewritten somewhere after the elections. See the living story CDI-topic from a few months ago

Not the outcome of the release but the way to it would be different:

This answer immediately brought me to the question of the Election we had between Ellen and Evon. If it was always the intention to do this, was the Election as impactful as we were originally told? Would either candidate have made a different in the way this story was presented? They reiterated to me that it was always the plan to bring Scarlet to Lion’s Arch. It is clearly where all the main activity is building and it had to be that Scarlet would discover more about herself there. “It is the helm and direction of the response that would have changed depending on who was elected. Ellen and Evon play two very different roles in this release, and those roles would have been drastically different if the election played out differently.”

Indeed. Lion’s Arch would have been saved due to Evon’s strong leadership abilities. The people of Tyria voted for Kiel, and now this happens.

Evon still only is concerned bout one thing. protecting his interest in trading. Just like any other banker. Arise ye farmers of all nations!!

The outcome would have been LA still getting attacked but i think it would have a bit harder if Evon had won a few more defenses maybe ?

Which is fine because protecting his interests and trading means protecting Lion’s Arch. It doesn’t matter why he would save the city, just that he does.

Of course.

Evon would never have let this happen. He would have had Scarlet hung within a week.

In other words, the elections had no consequence whatsoever, beyond that one fractal.

Actions, not words.

A hero like Evon needs no reason to save the city. Tis what a hero does.

Yes, at the end of a long and bloody fight…

….the TP would still be standing. Everything else could burn, but his auction house wouldn’t have a scratch on it.

:D

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

No, all datamined information points to this having been decided before we even voted. Basically it was a rigged election.

I expect Evon to have his operations continue. I lost a few hundred Gold on bad investments, and I need a chance to make that back. Can’t do that without the TP.

Evon, being the vile scum that he is, is more than likely Scarlet’s benefactor. His insatiable graving for wealth, power, and control, will certainly come to bite him one day. Maybe this attack will be the herald of that day is coming soon.
