A little brainstorm after playing the update.
Why arent Aetherblades dying from poison? They are just “sky pirates” after all.Charr and “nightmare” sylvari are humanoid as well. Why must we leave LA again and again while they are staying there just fine?
And,why would you unleash the deadly poison on your own troops while you massively assaulting the city?I mean, the poison should not determine friends and foes.
And,if poison reached “lethal dose”,so even “heroes of tyria” cant stand it any longer, how could regular people survive?

Same reason I and my teammates are immune to my poison fields, I reckon.

This miasma is just a stronger version of the toxin from a few months back.
And like the old toxin, the probably an antitoxin for it, not too hard to believe that scarlet’s minion would have this

I believe the main idea behind all this kitten is to drive away everyone from LA. Aetherblades and other guys will run away, as well as we did, when “lethal phase” begins.

Scarlet Briar’s minions were injected by vaccine perhaps?

Canonically the event only happens once I reckon. We can obviously enter lion’s arch again but I think it’s just for gameplay reasons. So maybe scarlet’s minions evacuate as well?

Scarlet is a plant, so she’s making O2

From what we heard, the whole idea behind the Tower of Nightmares was to create a miasma that could not be protected against. If an antitoxin exists, that whole living story event was not only a massive failure on Scarlet’s part, but it was also an unavoidable failure. Which is stupid even when compared to other stupid things in the Scarlet story arc.

Actions, not words.

It could be one of those "go in there or I’ll kill you all NOW" things. It wouldn’t be the first time she’s given her own people that kind of encouragement.

It’s been my assumption that this is the case if it’s deadly to them, or they’ve been equipped with anti-toxin. Evidence between the tower and now suggests that there isn’t really an anti-toxin, though, so I suspect they would pull out once their work was done.

Or, equally valid to me, is that she doesn’t care once she’s in there and focused on what she’s doing, leaving them to their own devices (i.e. they either choose to leave or die in the process).

We’ll probably get the vaccine in the next update so that we can launch a counterattack.
