Here is a list of problems currently being experienced at least on JQ:

1. Civilian Counter doesn’t reset between rounds. No awards for civilian saves are given since we are permanently over the threshold. (currently at 7700)

2. Lawson event is stuck permanently. Since the instance does not reset neither does his event, cannot be completed.

3. Moa racing event does not award achievement for saving all 7 moas even if you save all 7 and get event credit.

4. Defense events have just stopped starting. Have been unable to get hold the line daily achievement because there are no more defense events to do.

5. Rubble piles respawn but the items inside them don’t. I don’t know if this is a bug or not, but it is annoying to search for them when you keep coming across ones that don’t contain anything.

Hopefully these issues can be solved soon, thank you.

The escort events don’t seem to award the achievement unless you kill some of the attackers. I had that problem with the Moa and Yak ones but succeeded on the 2nd tries. I still have the lighthouse one and the Lawson (bugged) one to do.

Why make sense, when it’s so much more fun to make nonsense?

The first 3 (possibly 4) seem to be only tied to the main server’s LA. Overflow LA is fine though.

5 is a bit annoying, but having to keep persistence of 30+ piles of rocks for every character might be a bit harder than it sounds; but if I understand right, don’t gathering nodes operate just fine with persistence?

6. Defeat Elite Aetherblades Event don’t reward with achiv, even after taking part in killing everyone.(i done this about 5 times and still nothing since release of patch)
2. Lawson in RoS’s LA i stuck near aetherblades zeppeling at Fort Mariner, w8ing for…nothing i guess.
Rest is smae, Moa isn’t giving achivement(i done this for 5 times, every time with 7 moas alive at the end of escort). Events are spawning after 15-20 mins since start of instance etc.

ehhh..i just hope to not w8 a month before fix of that(like i was w8ing with 1. Mad King’s achievements to get them…)

Getting credit for the escort events seems rather flukey. Does it only count if you get the killing blow? Seems to me that that needs to be reworkd. I’ve done (or rather, tried to do) all the escorts save the moas, have tried to make sure I killed at least something, and have yet to get credit for even one. That is rather uninspiring.

No defend event even though NO crossed sword on the entire map. I think the bugged Commodore Lawson event prevents all the defend the rally point events.

This. I have failed to get credit for lighthouse escort twice while it succeeded but just didn’t get it. One time I was downed and the other I was fighting the whole time and damaged mobs everywhere, but nothing.

Also, for the Aetherblade elites, I believe you have to tag all five to get credit. So unless you’re camping the area when they appear, forget it. Maybe make them champs or something, or make it so you just have to tag maybe one.

Another bug is the auto-resizing of our inventory panel whenever we change maps.

I think it actually happens ever so often when you open the inventory. Someone on reddit tested by hammering the i key and watching the window resize ever so often, but at no fixed interval.

That kind of mechanical QOL is up there with achievements that lists what dungeon paths you have run, so i would not hold my breath…

Getting credit has been an issue for me. If it’s an escort quest, people should not be made to rush up with the npc’s to make sure they’re there when they crossed the line. Totally ignoring fallen allies, people who are killing mobs that spawn to protect quest npc’s, etc.. For such large events please make the area to get credit is much much bigger.

For events where mobs come in waves, I’ve also not gotten credit several times. It’s so random I have no idea what the problems were. I was there along with everybody else killing, healing, reviving, etc..

Please fix the bugs, but also make sure it’s easier to get credit especially when people participated in the events and helped.

I hear that… I’m standing at 1200 range from the closest Aetherblade and I’m just dropping dead with no visual cue. Combat log says something about lightning-something-or-other. Really growing weary of the Aetherblade events on my glass cannon ranger with the attacks that can’t be avoided, lol.

I think the scaling code is wonky, but then the typical zerktard GS heavy don’t seem to have a problem cleaving his way through multiple L84 mobs a second…

Then again, you also have overlapping molten protectors down south, making it practically impossible to hurt anything for several seconds at a time. This on top of the typical particle FX smog that make it kitten hard to tell what is going on most of the time. Never mind that mobs seems to swap targets as if the aggro code is fed directly by the RNG.

Had the worst case of that during one of the miasma events that spawned inside the bank. On top of the walls making it practically impossible to see what was going on thanks to camera bumping, ever so often some mob would spawn that seemed to do a AOE attack that would down anyone on the spot…

Only killing, and maybe reviving, counts…

Then again, things either don’t die at all or die within seconds of spawning during the events.

General Feedback:

Theres another minor game interrupting bug, currently the game is crashing, if you try to use the LFG tool for specific dungeons, like AC together with a critical error message!!

About the other mentioned things here:

1) About the Rubbles even if the heirlooms reset daily, do we have to search for 30 independant different rubble piles for the achievement, or does the achievement count only forwards on rubble piles, that actually give you a heirloom.
I’m currently at 20/30 and its very annoying to search for the missing 10, when basically now 2/3 of every pile that I find seems not to count, because I have looted it already once.
I think 30 is also a bit much. Would have been enough to search for 15-20, especialyl when you can basicalyl nowhere run aroudn a second long safe, cause you permanently run somewhere into new enemies…
Enemies also do respawn imo a bit too fast.

2= I desperately also beg for fixing the achievements by adding clear symbols (hooks v) to show you, what you’ve done already and what you still need to do…
Absolutely bugs me, that once again you didn’t learn from our complaints…
Its not the first time that you added such kind of achievements without letting the achievements show proper information about, what is still to do.
Should be so hard to add to the achievements a bit more information in form of a kind of checklist symbol You also increased the amount of infromation shown in the skill descriptions, so what works there, should work for achievement descriptions too, that they should show more information about the progress of the achievement.

Currently at 5/6 and I’ve no clue, which event i should have missede, i’m very sure, I’ve done all 6…

Or does the lighthouse one for example count only, if all 3 npcs survive this ? If yes, that would be then again a very important missing information!

And I think the one achievement for doing successfulyl all events in the whole evacuation should get removed, the 5 points for it should be added for doing all 6 escorts. This achievement is just only stressful and you have 0 influence in it of it becoming successful.
Haven’t the marionette achievements already shown you good enough, that people don’t like achievements, in which they have 0 influence on them becoming a success??

So far all of the major issues I have run into have all occurred on a main server, if i get on an overflow then everything works fine. From the OP’s list 1-4 are all happening, and there are no swords popping for an attack event, instead the defend events simply aren’t spawning even if every mob in the area is killed.

One thing that bothers me about the LA battlefield is the relatively long time of invulnerability that enemies enjoy after spawning, before they start acting. When there’s a lot of players stacking AoEs underneath them, anything less than elite mobs tends to evaporate instantly as soon as that invulnerability wears off.

I suspect this might be contributing to some players not receiving credit for events. It sure can’t help if large amounts of mobs can’t possibly be tagged at all by people playing characters that don’t stack circles of instant death all over the place.

Sadly the “spam AOE everywhere” is as old as the game. It was going on during event farms around shelter gate in cursed shore, and it is going on now. And the zerker meta is adding insult to injury. Run anything “resilient” and you can bet your behind that someone with a GS will spin by and flatten that vet you have spent the last 10+ seconds barely denting. And then you turn around and come face to face with a elite summoner…

have it by now, was the lighthouse one, I was pretty sure to have seen the event reward message,, but i think the first time I haven killed enough creatures or didnt run long enough with the npcs …

So the only thing left for me to talk about the achievements is the one that you get for defending fort marriner..

I find it confusing.. is with this one meant, that absolutely no single event in the evacuation must not be failed, or is with this achievement mean,t that only those defense events where the sword symbols appear, that only these events may not fail???

I believe and hope its the latter….
howeve,r its still something that requires again a real big amount of players that works coordinatedly to defend those events successfully, because most of the time they fail, because of too less manpower that the time either runs people ou,t or peopel just get overwhelmed and then they fail, because people are still so stupid to lie dead on the ground around for minutes, instead of moving their pixel butts instantly and just respawn at the nearest WP to come back asap.

its as said above such a kind of achievement, that people hate like the plague, because of you being mightless, havign no influence in these kinds of achievements to be successful, because you are just only 1 out of 150 which alone can’t do anything to make the achievement a success…

You have perhaps a good chance for this achievement on your main serve,r when good coordinated commanders are there that work together in TS or os .. but on Overflow with language barriers and all that ? Forget it ! WHen will Anet learn it, that these kind of Achievements dont work and that the majority of players absolutely despises such a kind of achievements.

Achievements are only achievement,s when they are personal and when you as player can have by your own skill have influence on it, if you can make the achievement successfully, or not.

This is the same as like if you would have to reach a specific sales goal as a person, but there would be xxx other 1 person teams that have to workindependantly together with you to reach together a department goal.

Say the goal as a department is 150%
Now you have 10 1 Person Teams and each is differently effectly..

Say out of these 10 Teams reach 9 just only from 100% goal, they reach only approx 30-75% and you as only Team do reach the maximum of 150%
Your effort would be totally in vain, because the 9 other bad workign teams draw you down, regardless of how you you have overperformed with your 150%.
When 9 other Teams don#t reach their goals, you can forget your department goal.

Now replace here the words Teams with Players and Department Goal with Achievement and you have the exactly same scenario.. just only that we have not only 10 Teams, but in this case up to maximum 150 what reduces massively for each individual player the amount of influence they can put into the community goal here, that is the receivign of that one achievement.

I absolutely see no solution in this for overflows, unless there are helpful players in the overflows, that try to help to coordinate everything, when there are no commanders with coordinated TS Zergs runnign around …

I’ve run into this problem as well. I am not certain if the foe you attack has to eventually die or if I am just not doing enough damage or if it is a bug. Perhaps we need to get xp to pass the participation gating. If that is the case, most foes for moa escort don’t die because it moves so quickly. As well, there is the problem of foes that are not spawned as part of the escort but are simply along the path. It would be easy to get xp for killing one of them and not pass the participation gate.

I like the content, just think it is straining the scaling mechanics and dead foe credit dueling.

As best i can tell, the scaling can happen in 3 ways.

1. level. Event mobs seem to quickly hit L84 (the max before you start to see glancing blows).

2. rank. veterans, elites, champions. And even a single veteran is a solid step up from a normal mob in terms of how much damage they can take. Makes those ranked up summoners very nasty to deal with…

3. mob count. larger zerg, more mobs spawned.

1 seems to happen independent of 2 and 3, and is quickly topped out. 2 and 3 seems to interact to a degree, where multiple lower rank mobs are replaced by a single higher ranked mob beyond a certain treshold.

Question is, how is this scaling triggered. As best i can tell, it is based on the number of characters within a certain distance of the event point (defeated included). And with the number of overlapping events that can happen in LA, that can quickly lead to “interesting results”.

I was guarding the ogres out east when a wave of toxic krait spawned. Every last one of them was veteran rank, and all were L84. And at least a quarter of them were summoners, meaning that we were soon facing down ettin hallucinations and overlapping AOE fields.

While it may be because of culling, i didn’t count more than 5-10 characters in the area (myself included). But this happened up the slope near the inn, and i suspect a “defend the rally point” event was going on up there. End result was that the event scaling may have taken into account the zerg just beyond view.

Another thing that isn’t working. Sometimes when LA opens up, a ‘defend’ area will spawn pre-failed and go straight to the ‘reclaim’ event. This was going from a non-overflow Bloodtide to a non-overflow LA. Zoned in, went straight to Fort Mariner, was on ‘reclaim’. Sucks for those trying to get the defense achievements if it’s failed before it even begins.

Having the same problem. I’m happy that I don’t have to put much effort to save him, but apparently being a decoy and killing a couple of mobs before they auto-disappear upon event completion doesn’t count as helping.

I’ve done the ogre escort four times and nothing. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I escort them to as far as the inn, then suddenly their little shield icons disappear and the event disappears. The ogres, meanwhile, continue on to the Asura gate.

Just went into HoD LA and was MAJORLY bugged. It started with the miasma full, and you couldn’t see how many citizens you rescued. We also dinged the level 5 rescue and didn’t get any rewards at all.

On my previous attempt I was in overflow and on the lighthouse escort the people you are suppose to protect just keep running, and get themselves killed, you can protect them if they just keep running into new enemies all the time.

Awesome list, thanks for bringing these up!

  • 1-3 are legitimate issues that we are already working to fix, and yes, they affect the main server maps and not the overflows.
  • 4 – So the defend events won’t run if the Scarlet Alliances are currently holding the rally camps. If you see the crosses swords event at the camps, that means a defend even has already run and failed – you’ll have to succeed the recapture event before another defend event will start. If you are seeing it work out differently, let me know!
  • 5 – Rubble Piles will offer Found Heirlooms only once per day.

Regarding number 4 – sometimes the defend events just NEVER begin.
Earlier today (NZ time) I went into LA – at the beginning, as in as soon as the portals opened. The Miasma timer was, as you would expect, at 0. But the defend events never started and we started the instance with a freed citizen count of 600(may not have been exactly 600, but was close to it). Of course that was great for getting the 1000 rewards. But it meant nobody could do the defend events because they just never started.

Just had an Aetherblade miasma event spawn in the plaza 2 minutes before Lawson. Considering you can only attempt Lawson once per hour and I was there to attempt Lawson (for the 4th time), Anet just wasted my hour.

7. Not getting credit for completing escort and defence events. I did a total of 6 escort and 7 defence events yesterday but got credit for only two. All but one of them was successful.

Same here, tried Lawson countless times now and still no achievement. I have killed some mobs on the way and kept up with Lawson so what else do you have to do.

Question is, is this still bugged?

Any clarification on the issue please?
