Will be interesting, the only times I have been on any server that failed, they were trying the split up method.
Same here, splitting up just doesn’t work for the bosses, as we don’t get enough DPS to take them out. It’s quite ironic, since 50 people would be enough to take out ANY world boss normally within a time limit, yet it won’t work on these bosses.

actually since they scale up if there’s too many people , this should make it easier to complete in 6 min. (less time spent running for one).
and at least there’s going to be loot of some kind.

Its still not encouraging enough.I tried to killed green knight the other day . There were 5 people total for 10 out of 15 minute time limit.Group manage to chipped away only 10% of knights total HP.
So I though this event still meant to take down by some zerg.
I’ve heard people say anet has confirmed that they don’t scale, and that they do, so whatever you want to think go with it. But forcing players to split when they can’t afford to in some cases is just wrong.

I think they mean that those who have participated with whatever knight will get their corresponding loot. So… Help with Red and Green? Get Red and Green loot… Maybe? I don’t know.

but just past in map chat ..going to “x” server..
Heck all low pop servers should pick one that ye all join up to, once it becomes the norm …people will go there automatically a few days into the event.
There’s no harm guesting you know.
Desolate is generally where people go in EU, it could do with another server people go to when deso gets full. But it’s a way.
Unfortunately anet hasn’t created anything for low pop servers, guesting IS their way of solving the issue, so use it.

I think with splitting they are hopping you only get time to kill one knight… but yeah I also read it like that. Take part in killing any knight, get loot at end of the event that corresponds to what you took out. be it 1 knight or all 3.
well we’ll find out what the new loot is in about 30mins

You mentioned only having 25 people, if (somehome) you’ve beat the event with those numbers. this update won’t prevent that,
It’s limiting at 50 people, you don’t think a 50 man zerg is enough per knight? It’s not stopping people from going from to the other.

tbh, the way it was being done was impossible to get the 6 min achieve, player wanting it were blatantly ignored.
I don’t see the issue with splitting up the zerg. I mean 50 people at a knight is still a fair number of people!

We didn’t defeat any of the knights. One of them was nearly dead. One possibly at 75-80%. One only had 5 players working on it.

I know the zerg method isn’t everyone’s ideal when it comes to fighting the knights, but I feel this is ignoring the whole “play how you want” thing. Not to mention that it’s already extremely hard for some of us to beat all three knights within the time limit (though, I know this isn’t the case for everyone).
I guess other people are probably happy about this, but I wanted to voice my opinion on the subject.
You can still play how you want, but you won’t be guaranteed a success. But if you heed Anet’s call on the suggestion to split up and play ‘as a team’ then you’ll win.

This failed…horribly. 1 knight dead, 1 at 25%, the last at 70%. If you’re going to do this Anet, make it so the knight with more than 50 players on it CANNOT scale past the 50 players. The blue group had more than 60 players there, and failed because it scaled past 50.

On overflow, it was even worse. The complaining was truly epic. And the nerf to the amount of loot, if you even got it, was a nice touch.

killing each knight gave 5 boxes and possibility of a core.
now you only get 1 chest with 6 boxes ? talk about reward nerf !!!

That’s bad.
My server (Ebay) just killed 2 of the knights and blue only failed because of a possible bug with it being healed so fast from those healers and players not being able to see them or whatever.
I can confirm we got 6 boxes (seems to be 3 per boss now) for the work done and I only managed to help kill one. So everyone gets paid for all bosses killed. If you have less than 50 people use all those people at one boss and at least try to get 1-2 kills from running from one to the next if you can. If that’s a fail the only option I guess is to try to guest.

So, they nerf the loot AND make it harder, and don’t compensate us for the bugged loot we missed? This “finale” might be the worst LS event thus far. My friend was actually having fun with the new champ chest fun, it was great fun to get a lot of boxes to open. But this? No, this is bad. Very bad. No one’s going to come to these events much anymore, I’m afraid, at least on my server, which is one of the lower pop- servers.
Why make a grindy game where it takes months to get the T6 mats for a legendary, then punish people for getting adequate loot for once? It’s silly.

Everyone left over goes to Green.
When Blue goes down, Green moves to Red.
When Green goes down, Blue moves to Red.
The only issue is what to do with the people at Red who can’t attune…

What’s been happening in the overflows I’m in is that two knights die, one doesn’t (it gets less people), and the folks on the one that didn’t receive no reward at all. That doesn’t encourage folks to peel off to help kill the third.

Saw one overflow succeed, but with ~30-40 seconds left on the clock. The last one was blue which seemed to have the most people. Not exactly reassuring if one wants the achievement.

Why gamble the unsure bet? I can see players now will go for the assured 100% kill (the knight w/most players), I know I will be.
Sounds like that needs to be fixed. I also went to green and funnily enough we had more people at red and blue yet if was blue that failed and I’m sure everyone got the chest who were at all colours. Probably a good thing to report this as a bug.

Honestly, I think they should have kept it the way it was, but reward the chest to everyone at the end of the event. Why? Because when you’re in overflow it is harder to coordinate. Not only that but you may have just above fifty people but not enough to spread between all, so when people finish on their legendary boss and run to another, time will be wasted.

I like the challenge, BUT, having the blue insta-heal after green and red go down only makes me want to avoid it like the Marionette. I did some of my achievement for that too, but never went back.
You spend 15 minutes on a knight and because you had less DPS than the others, you can’t kill it and therefore get NO LOOT. How is that okay, Anet?

Guess I don’t get a colored blade. I’m not paying 2g per core.

Because you played the way THEY wanted you to! That’s the whole point, right?
They designed this event with the belief that players would split up and attempt to take down the knights at the same time, but the players found a more effective way to work together and get the job done.

My biggest issue with it is that it is a requirement not “encouragement” as they said. If they wanted players to split up on it, they should have designed it that way from the beginning. They should not force players after the fact when they come up with their own solution.
First you had three opportunities to get a core, not you only get one. T_T

I was on green for the beginning of the fight, so I have no idea what was done at blue. It does however feel quite “cheap” to have it heal to full as quickly as it did making us fail due to the time it takes to widdle it back down.

If they “scaled” it wouldn’t have put a champion and a knight in the SAME – GREEN – area at the SAME time with HALF the people at Blue or Red.
This is more broken than it was before.
