This from another thread:
As the posting and discussion of unannounced content is against the forum code of conduct, this thread is now closed.

Now please bear with me… isn’t the majority of discussion on these forums about unannounced content?

I can hear the infraction coming…

Uannounced is not the same thing as unreleased.

Escape from LA was announced last Tuesday. So you could have talked about the content here (if it was spoiled) only after Tuesday.

The content in that thread discussed patch content next month, which has never been announced, so it was locked.

>.<

Perhaps someone here can define “unannounced” for you.
Hint: unannounced content doesn’t get a trailer.

Never saw the first thread that was deleted but I would assume there is a difference in theory-crafting versus releasing details from an inside source. This assuming that the actually deleted thread had said details.

I agree the wording was strange, but that particular thread was asking about leaked content.

There’s obviously a big difference between discussing leaked content and discussing and theorising about what future patches may entail. Leaks can only come from someone breaking an NDA, breaking an embargo, or data-mining the client (all of which are against agreements that will have been made between the person leaking and ANet/NCSoft).
