How the heck am I supposed to get enough Dragonite Ore to get a Vision Crystal for the Spinal Blades backpiece when no one is doing world bosses cause they’re just doing LA? And before you tell me, “LA gives you Dragonite Ore” yeah, not much anymore cause all people do is farm Heirlooms, which doesn’t get us to 1,200…… So do I have to wait till Season 1 of the Living World is over to get the Dragonite cause people keep farming for that ugly halo?

You get dragonite ore in the regular bags. Farm with the zerg.

Go guest to higher population servers to do them?

A lot of people are doing metaevents now since they’ve had ample opportunity to go for at least 1 halo.

Your issue is that you want it now. Unfortunately, there’s a pretty important event going on in LA now. And the next LS release on Tuesday will probably be even bigger. You’re going to have to

a) wait till LS ends to farm world bosses
b) guest to a server that regularly does world bosses
c) a ham sandwich

Personally, I’ve gotten probably 100 dragonite ore from the LA event so far and I’ve done about a dozen runs. Every bit helps. And we got 1200 last night. That’s still happening too.

From regular bags…. I knew that, but 1 Dragonite Ore every 50 bags isn’t gonna get me to 500 Dragonite Ore anytime soon. I really wish that ANet would get the reward priorities set straight, I mean, give us 20 heirlooms for getting 1,200 citizens, then people would ALWAYS get 1,200 citizens, but no, lets just have them spread across the city and let people NOT contribute at all to the point of the event (saving citizens) and just let them farm this stuff………….

Many world bosses can still be done with small numbers of people. Golem Mark II in Mount Maelstrom is likely soloable, and I’ve done it with only one other person before without any issues, and it rewards 20-25 Dragonite.

Actually, 1200 will get you 8 9 heirlooms. 5 from the 1200 box and 1 from each of the 3 4 bags you’ll earn on your way to 1200.

that doesn’t make any sense, there are tons of ppl doing the event that don’t care about heirlooms at all.

as for Dragonite: capturing WvW Keeps/SM a few times a week will get you to 500 relatively fast.

Actually, 1200 will get you 8 heirlooms. 5 from the 1200 box and 1 from each of the 3 bags you’ll earn on your way to 1200.

That would be 9 heirlooms. There are 4 standard bags and 1 ultimate bag.

Many servers have World Tours for the meta bosses, which include almost every meta boss in an evening run. It is certainly not the case no one is doing them, it might be more a case on your server during your play time though and that can be fixed with guesting.

You will probably also find that interest in LA is starting to decrease somewhat as achievements tick off, heirlooms are collected etc and this weekend they are back out in the wider world before the next stage of the fight on Tuesday.

You left supply camp supervisors in the empyreal fragments list

Keep in mind that the ability to upgrade the backpack will most likely remain even after the event itself is over. So even if you don’t see people doing the stuff giving you ore at the moment, there will be in the future.

And thus, this is no issue whatsoever.

You should have done the Marionette then. I’m pretty sure I got the bulk of my 500+ ore from those chests.

I have 60 odd stacks of dragonite ore in my bank. Perhaps this is where we all learn that we should have lots of everything in order to get what we want when it shows up?

World bosses scale down, and they die so much quicker when there are fewer people there as well. I killed the Fire Ele earlier this morning, with maybe five people or so, and it died in about 30 seconds.

Kill Dragons/Do Temples on your Lv. 80. Then do them again on a Lv.80 alt. Then do them again on another Lv.80 alt. Then do them again on another Lv.80 alt. Then do them again on another Lv.80 alt. Then do them again on another Lv.80 alt. Then do them again on another Lv.80 alt. and so on. That’s what I been doing.

Stop exaggerating your woe. You get about 5-10 per 50 bags. I get quite a bit every single run through. Just tag better. get 200 bags and you get about 25 dragonite ore per hour. That’s as good as doing Jormag.

Suck it up buttercup. You had MONTHS to get dragonite ore.

Dragonite Ore Poop annoys me the most. I’ve made a lot of ascended stuff and I’m always forced to farm those for days while the other two I already have tons of, especially Bloodstone Dust. I have 82 Bloodstone Bricks and several stacks of Dust right now. .-.
I’ll probably never have a use for all those bricks.

In fact, it is one of the few things that we can get done well, and relatively consistently. We’ve got a WBT that runs every night at reset if you ever want it. We’re meeting in Hoelbrak now, because of LA if I remember right.
