What if Mormadreth isn't Evil ?
Elder Dragons are not evil, they are forces of nature.

Well then a bad guy, then again wouldn’t you consider zhaitan evil considering he was undead and wanted to kill everything ? I’ll rephrase what I ment.
What if jungle dragon or however you spell pronounce it’s name is actually on the player’s/pact’s side
Gonna edit this and also add, What if the nightmare court ISN’t the dragon’s corruption but the sylvari exercising there free will ? I think this would be far more interesting.

Would you call a tornado evil? A hurricane? No, they are forces of nature. Elder dragon’s are Tyria’s forces of nature, they are very much apart of the planets cycle.

No but I would consider anything undead to be evil. But this is getting off topic and not going in the direction I would like it to go. Also Zhaitan has a mind and intelligence where as a tornado does not.

They are described as forces of nature BY TYRIANS – Tyrians who only know of their recent rise (mostly) and just needed a way to describe them.
They are not actually forces of nature. We don’t know where they came from, we don’t know what their actual purpose is. etc. etc.
As Ominous points out they are sentient intelligent beings.

Actually, they wake up every time the magic in the world gets too strong. They consume the magic and everything around it, and then goes back to sleep. The Dragons have risen one time before as told by a Durmand Priory scholar, and pretty much the same thing happend then.
Their purpose is pretty much to keep the magic in check.
But yes, I believe they are evil. The way Zhaitan communicate through his minions like Eye of Zhaitan and Mouth of Zhaitan it makes me believe that his intentions are evil.

Exactly, they will eventually just go back to sleep after enough magic is consumed which is what the Mouth of Zhaitan was doing. Obviously the dragon being awake is a threat.
It’s like an Ice Age for us, pollution gets too high, the earth tries to correct itself with an ice age. Magic gets too high, Tyria tries to correct itself with Elder Dragons.
I don’t believe they are evil though….ask yourself this: What happens if the magic gets too great on Tyria because there is nothing to consume the magic?
I honestly doubt it…but it would be interesting to see another “friendly dragon”.

I would say it’s not a totally far fetched idea. The dragons work to consume magic and Mordremoth, being a jungle dragon, presumably probably likes the jungle. That would pretty much put him up in arms against Jormag and Primordius immediately considering they would destroy the jungle. It’d probably be less of an “alliance” with the dragon but the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Kill him for the loot I say!

I love how people still can’t spell his name consistently in the title and the post…

Ugh…. One of the reasons we dont see Mord’s minions is because he’s not actually confirmed. Its just speculation. Stop making so many “Sylvari are dragon minions!” threads, people.
Evil or not he might drop a precursor so he will be butchered and cut open until I find one.
Elder Dragons are not evil. But in one of the books, someone enters a Dragons mind and states, that its full of greed, hatred and anger. However these emotions get their connection to that elemental force, its still thinkable, that a dragon full of gentleness, love and appreciation would behave differently – for whatever reasons.
