What of the Lion Guard?
I guess they will do what they do now. Follow the coins. Or they hero up and join us.
I hope their skins are still sold somewhere for karma? I have a Norn warrior who fancies their design.
The Lionguard weapon skins are sold in Fort Marriner, above Canach’s jail. The armor all Lionguard wear is also acquireable from certain heart vendors.
My theory is that the Lion Guard will be bought out by the Courtesan
“Commerce beats combat.”
“And even defuses long-standing racial biases, it would seem.”
I’m wondering if whoever is guiding Scarlet understands mortals better than the known Elder Dragons (whether it’s Mordremoth or something else entirely)?
Lion’s Arch is the glue holding the various peoples together. Attack it, and they fall apart. If they don’t outright go to war like the Charr and Humans, they at least start looking inward, protecting themselves first rather than standing together — given that this isn’t the first time something like that happened, it’s even possible that this entity may been involved with the Mursaat choosing to bail on the other races in the last ED cycle.
Worse (for Tyria, not so much for drama), the Pact may shatter too. The fact that the Vigil is becoming so prominent may cause animosity with the other two orders, but they may have worked together long enough to overcome that. However, if it turns out the Sylvari are truly dragon minions or something similarly unsettling, there are going to be a lot of people casting a suspicious eye at the Pact’s commander; especially in light of the minimal effort they put toward stopping Scarlet, the fact that she was able to steal their airships, and so on. Can he really hold them together surrounded by conspiracy theories?
The Lionguard will take up stations in Gendarren Fields where they will begin to hand out materials for players to erect signposts to guide the refuges to Vigil Keep.
Relive the events of one year ago in an all new map!
Well, this “event” should have a ripple effect that shakes ALL of Tyria.
What I expect is more of what I have seen. The lionguard will continue to protect trade routes to a city that no longer exists. Travel will still flow to a city that no longer exists. NPCs will still reference a city that no longer exists. The multicultural glue of the sole multicultural commerce city in game will no longer exist, but won’t effect anything at all.
LA will be destroyed and the bulk of the game will be blissfully unaware of the fact.

This is an example of what I mean. Two hearts from one Haven area, just as an example. These kind of references are common in all of the areas that have Havens and Lionguard commerce protectors.
Will all of this be changed to reflect the “living world” or will it be assumed that all of this content is now “historical” like the Personal Story.
