I’m struggling a bit to find out what my personal goal for this update should be. I’ve gotten all the achievements. I haven’t opened any of my alliance supply bags because I’m running out of space.

I see there’s an ascended backpiece, but as someone who has done a lot of fractals, I can get my backpieces from that.

What should I be trying to get with this update?

Well if you want them, you can farm for the selfless/thoughtless tonics for 250 heirloom pieces. Can farm the rubble piles daily or spend a lot of time doing the events for the group bonus bags.

Other then that, either for money and entertainment I dunno what else you can do it for. I always see overall that LS content is something new to do in addition to the normal routine. /shrug

so those self/thought potions are everlasting? The wiki description didn’t specify that. That could be something but i dont want to hit 250 rubble piles.

Selfless and thoughtless pots, and enough blade shards for about 3 ascended back pieces, maybe four if I have enough time.

I’m helping out! It’s fun! As penance for thinking something bad about <insert random LA citizen here> the other week, I’m getting as many citizens out as I can, whilst aiding other players in a pinch and farming blade shards. I did have a spot of farming the heirlooms, but went all CBA and spent them all on small stuffs. Having an endless quaggan tonic was more of a victory than a halo or horns deal. I am so win.

My goal is (was) to explore LA-under-attack a bit, and dont bother at all with the achievements.
I am just happy i dont like that new back piece, so that i dont feel the need to farm for it.

Selfless Potion – Check
Thoughtless Potion – 65/250 heirlooms
Mats for 3 ascended backpieces – Check, and I’ve already destroyed about 6 stacks of blades
Several thousand belongings to get several thousand sprockets – In progress (real target is over 9000 to make Zealot sets for my guard and ele, and then maybe another 4800 for trinkets… this is horribly unrealistic but it gives me a sense of purpose)

I’ve nearly finished everything that’s a realistic goal; I’ll have the Thoughtless Potion by Thursday at the latest, and then it’s just hoping for awesome drops from the 1200 civilians bag (would love a medium armor monocle for my Engi)

Really, the whole concept of backpieces instead of capes and cloaks due to clipping is just wrong. Everything is clipping either way, so I would rather see some pretty cloaks than weird iron backpacks with swords on joints. The only backpieces which make sense are the actual backpacks, but those aren’t very epic looking….

The backpieces are already clipping, why would you even want a cape? Considering the stiff materials all skirts are made off, I doubt it would look good…

My goal is at least the selfless potion. Just for the have. No idea what to do with the other collectable thing. And I’ve got more blades than I could ever need (considering I don’t even have the dust to create an exotic version…) I would love those endless tonics though, but my luck is so that I’ll never get them…

Plenty of reasons to play this update after achievements:-

1) Ascended Backpiece (if not for stats, looks, also different colours available)
2) Selfless potion.
3) Thoughtless Potion.
4) Rescuing 1200 npc’s gives you ultimate reward bag, which has a small chance of getting previous LS items, receipes.
5) A very small chance at getting high value drops like endless quaggan tonic.

Karma and Obi shards FTW :p need Legendary number 5

my goal if so farm enough blades for 10 backpieces and have thousands of millions of billions extremely valuable items drop from the 1.2k bags.

I’ve gotten the achievements. I don’t need the backs nor the potions. So i think i will just relax a bit until the next LS.

1) An ascended backpiece (to make red in the next update) – Done
2) Endless Mystery Quaggan Tonic – Done
3) One of each of the other Quaggan Tonics – Done
4) Karma for Shards – Ongoing
5) Halo Potion – about 80 left

4. Selfless Potion – 115/250 Heirlooms

Aside from that, I now just do one LA Rescue per day for the Daily. I always go rescue civilians for potential chances at Ascended loot and expensive LS skins.

Achievements (just 7 moas alive to go), backpieces for alts as I level them, a halo (though I’m not very speedy on my rubble).

And RP out the wazoo. Stories and more stories as our guild builds braided storylines of disaster. I’ve always loved books like Niven and Pournelle’s Lucifer’s Hammer and Stirling’s “Dies the Fire” series. I’d never want to live through an apocalypse real life but hoo boy does it make for plots.

Finish making 4 Tempered Spinal Blades so I can get back to farming in Path of Exile.

I’m glad to say that I reached all of my original goals. Got my backpiece, got my armorsmith to 500 and ascended my backpiece, saw all the ways LA is messed up, saw the Tengu destroy anyone that gets too close to the wall (not me thankfully) and got enough blade shards to make 3 more ascended versions (didn’t do that yet) for my alts I want to give them too.

However, I have one more goal. After seeing I had 179 found heirlooms I decided to try for the Selfless Potion (or whatever the halo one is called). So far I’m at 229, or close enough to that number.

3 different account bound ascended backpack to cover 3 kind of build (Zerker, Soldier, Condi if enhanched).

Thinking about making a Pay service to Heirloom run (you know 5 people following you to get 30 fast heirloom in the first 15min of game).

To gear my chars with found items. Yes I am a bit optimistic I think…..

To have fun:
1. Saving as many citizens as possible.
2. Helping others to get their achievements.

To advance:
3. Make as many of the Ascended Backpieces as I can. For the stats.

And no potions for me. Not spending gold on something like that.

1. To make lots of gold farming Iron Ore while everyone rushes to build their back piece.
2. Explore LA under attack; it is pretty awesome to revisit it now.
3. Complete the events for the AP points.

All are now complete. But I’m going to keep farming and selling Iron as long as people are still willing to pay so much for it.

I understand a lot of players think in these personal goals, but umm… I never quite had those. I just want to play & chat with my guildies. :P

That being said, I still have my Carcharias. And only 2 of my 4 other weapons are Ascended so far (I got ~400 gold, but I don’t fancy spending it all on mats, and I don’t do farming if I don’t see the reason). So plenty long-term goals, as these events bring in some money and some mats.

Leveling. I’m getting roughly 1.5 levels per run from the inherent XP plus buying Tomes of Knowledge from the Found Belonging vendor. Finished my engineer, and have gotten 30 levels on my elementalist. Woot!

Leveling some of my lower level characters to 80, making $$$ and seeing how this plays out.
Back piece isn’t very appealing to me and the tonics are nice, but if I am getting new characters in the 80 club, I gotta get them better gear.
