I seem to have become incredibly unlucky.

Before Tuesday 11th March, I participated in the 3 knights event in LA and upon a successful kill, received the 6 chest reward and the odd power core. Since then, despite further successful events (~10), I have not had a single power core drop.

Is the God RnG really that annoyed with me? I know I could buy the items, however, I wanted to participate in the events and have at least a chance of getting the rewards.

How’s it been for others? Have you sustained the level of power core drops since Tuesday or have you noticed a change (decline?).

Good, hopefully it’ll drive the price up so they’ll be more worth selling after the event ends.

Yeah, I’ve had a series of bad luck as well. Out of the last 8 (I think its been so far, don’t think its been 10 yet) times of doing the knights all I’ve gotten are the champ boxes. I think only about half those times I’ve done Scarlet, and out of those only once did I get A power core.

I participated in the even 3 time yesterday and got 4 in the first, 0 the second and 2 the third time. I think RNG is RNG and sometimes luck isn’t on your side.

Well seems like luck as abandoned me. Out of 10 runs, zero cores. Finally got one core on the 11th and one more on the 12th. I really hate RNG…

Same here. I had bad luck with cores early-on. I think I went 8 runs with no cores at all, then when I finally got some it was only 1 at a time.

But yesterday I actually got a 6 cores (3 static and 3 dynamic) in a single run. And another got me 3.

Better to just buy them. The cheap price reflects the supply and demand of the item, which is high/low respectively.

Not sure if it helps but I suspect the 3 cores I got from a Knight fight, followed by 3 more from the Scarlet fight might be the top cap. Having done the event maybe 40 times, and collected 35 power cores, It seems the average is much less than one but hitting 6, and three 4’s, means 21 of 40 times I got something.

With RNG it could just as easily have been 2 of 40.

What concerns me is the total lack of loot on failures. It drives people away. I’d much rather see less for a win and more for a loss so it remains do-able.

Do you actually like that ugly purposeless illogical material-wasting backpack?

It was weird to me that I got 6 cores in one SINGLE run. Happened to anyone else?

I have it hidden on my character, but there certainly are a lot of players around using it.

Personally I want the green one, so I bought the missing cores I needed off the TP for about 3g and I’ll hang on to the extras I have of other colours and sell them back later at a higher price. I already sold a few I got early on when they weren’t dropping for a day or two and got a very good price for them.

I miss pretty much getting them guaranteed back when we could zerg all three. XD At least till that patch broke loot drops and forced the new system. :s I was getting 1-3-6+ a run.

I’ll go 5+ runs in a row without getting a single core and after several holo battles scarlet only dropped 1. Dunno why her loot is especially insanely rare to give cores. Oh well it just saves me the urge to enter the seizure fest.

For knight failures, yes. As long as one dies, everyone gets loot as long as you participate in at least one knight event (even if your knight doesn’t die).

For the Prime Hologram, no. If you lose you get squat.

The Prime Hologram is the bigger issue, since it takes 30 minutes (if you’re going to fail, though a successful run can finish in 15 or less). The knights only take… 12 at absolute most? Or is it 15? Its a lot less than 30, that’s for sure.

I have two. After this whole even, I have all of two.

Yeah, I was referring to the Prime Hologram fight which is in fact potentially much longer and involved and can require twice the effort and still go without reward. It’s a bunch of greens and bloodstone (getting really bored of deleting bloodstone) but it’s still something. The cores are the real loot.

Oh … didn’t even know a successful hologram killed gave anything worth caring about. I’ve never got anything worth mentioning from a success anyway. Maybe a rare but the only rare that might be worth mentioning is the aquabreather.

Most players would probably prefer the old vanilla-WoW grind for the purple tiger mount in Winterspring. Hey, it’s no RNG! :P

Prior to the patch that reduced the health of the knights, I was getting 1-4 power cores almost every time (let’s say 95%). Since that patch, I get 1-2 power cores maybe 5% of the time. I do get rare loot more often from the holo chest since that patch, though that may just be my luck.
/shrug; I already have enough power cores to make two of each color – if I wanted to – from before that patch anyway.

10 knight fights in a row: no cores. Getting really annoyed at this, considering how much they’ve gone up in price over the last 24 hours.

Same for me, 10 fights = 0 cores (since yesterday).

I was in two fights yesterday, only one of which was successful and I got a core for each.

4 fights in the last 3 days or so, 8 cores, every single event dropped at least one … godkitten RNG, of course that started after I bought myself enough cores for all 3 colors. Before that, I was lucky to get 1 core every 5+ events …

They dropped more often (before the loot table broke) before the redesign because I think MF actually worked on them. The on screen chest kill MF.
