Q:
After this Living Story is over, will it still be possible to acquire Assault Knight Power Cores for the Ascended Spinal Blades Backpiece?
(I mean from an alternate boss fight and not the Black Lion Trading Post.)
I havent managed to loot any, and I was concerned that I may not be able to complete the backpiece I have been working on.

You’ll be able to buy them on the TP, but I don’t know how the prices will be for them.

That’s why I’m going to hold onto my cores and blueprint sraps for a while, hope they go up a lot.

Hmm, looks like I may be paying out of pocket after all.
Alrighty, thanks guys.
The assault knights are controlled by Scarlet’s ship. Once removed/destroyed/out of power, the knights are gone. It wouldn’t make sense to drop “assault knight” power cores from anything other than the knights.
Unlike blade shards, the power cores are only cosmetic, meaning ArenaNet has no reason to add them somewhere else. The coloring of the backpacks will most likely simply be another “I was there” or expensive TP item.
Don’t expect them to reappear.

There is another difference between the Tempered Spinal Blades and the dynymic, synergetic or static versions:
To infuse the normal tempered Spinal Blades you need 250 Glob of Ectoplasm.
To infuse the colored Spinal Blades you need only 10 Piles of Crystalline Dust.
