atm… the laser’s just affect the players and friendly NPC’s, not the enemies. The whole Friend or Foe system on a laser beam is a bit trolly don’t you think? Wouldn’t it have been more skillful and interesting if the laser’s affected everyone. This way push, pulls, and knock backs, could be used to help defeat the enemy? I think it would have been much more dynamic and interesting than the implementation we have now.

Just a suggestion for the future.

Agreed. That would encourage a slightly more dynamic style of gameplay. But, folks would still probably try to tank lasers and every other AoE :P

Yeah, though I’ll give people a little leeway as seeing the red circles with such a high volume of mobs is hard at times. I still think it would be great to get people to use control skills more.

I think that’s a valid suggestion. I’d say that the difficulty of the monsters would have to be slightly increased so-as to balance out the advantage of the big laser. But it would be a sweet dynamic. Maybe every champion would have to be pulled into a laser twice to remove a specific buff that vastly reduces damage taken.

It’s annoying how those lasers keep zapping npc’s that you are trying to revive, or zap you while you are swimming underwater. I don’t think they should target npc’s at all.

Since when has friendly fire ever been a thing?

For example in the mortar event in Genderran Fields, that is part of an event chain to storm that one hill with the champion Modniir spawning (not the Ulgoth).

Or for every NPC with different factions, which is really awesome because you can pull unaffiliated NPCs into fights and then let them decimate each other.

I agree, it would be an awesome thing, but I don’t think it’ll happen.

Different factions is the relevant point. Different factions aren’t friendly fire. Centaurs don’t get hit by their own catapults, why would Scarlet’s minions get hit by their own space lasers?

Well if the lasers will damage the enemies too then players’ attacks should damage each other.

Think about the friend or foe system on a miasma so poisonous no antidote exists for it.

Every skill should be more realistic. If I’m in WvW, and we cast a Meteor Shower on an area, everyone should get hit, friend or foe.
