Guide: How to play a Mesmer in dungeons.
Why? I think it has to do with several reasons:
1. The closest waypoint is a long way off from the actual event. This, I think is the biggest factor.
2. The fight itself is long and has 3 phases. Combined with fact 1, people just cant be bothered to put up with the fight.
Do you think this is a problem?
nobody does fire shaman? who isn’t around for fireshaman? it is super ez mode.
elemental on the other hand, since you need to do the disturbance pre events, you may end up finding that it isn’t ready to start yet when the timer is up.

It’s no surprise that aside from the temples, Fire Shaman is the one most frequently stuck in yellow.
I complete it occasionally if I’m there anyway, but I can’t say there’s anything particularly compelling about it if I’m not.
everytime ive gone to fireshaman here on jq theres always a mob of ppl so idk maybe you should guest
huh? on SFR I sometimes struggle to make it on time. Also getting there is not a problem and takes 1 min tops. Just use WP near the bridge and use gap in the wall.
I’m on a low population server, and it is rarely done there. I guest over to a higher populated server and get my temples in along with the fire shaman and karka queen that way.
Gate of Madness does him when he’s up between other world events…he sticks around for a while so sometimes you’ll see his timer at an hour or so but we usually down him.

You just happen to be in the vicinity for fire shaman occasionally? WTH that for, there’s nothing of interest anywhere near it.
HEAR HEAR, they are wrong. the fire shaman is fun and challenging. My friend and I do it once a day. Even if you are alone you can do it. use range weapons and soon someone will come and help. There is great wood on the way if you enter from the side by the tree. Heck you even get a bonus chest.

Exploring, guild missions (prisoner 1141 or whatever the number is), gathering.
high health, high damage, multi phase with annoying daze spam, KD spam, burn spam adds, and nearest wp too long away.

He should probably just die and drop rare item when he sees player aproaching. Gw2 is great example of game that spoiled its playerbase to that extent they now don’t even want to come and pickup pinada if its involving 1 min of running.
Location, Location, Location.
(no seriously, look where it is…. way off in one of the farthest possible corners of Tyria, a lot like GolemII which also gets ignored a lot and even more so now that it’s so punishing to Melee and especially impossible for a Sword Ranger due to the way they bounce around uncontrollably against it)
Maguuma does this event every day, somehow it usually pops just after Frozen Maw. There’s usually a decent sized group just running around doing all these events.
There’s always a lot of people on this event on Seafarer’s Rest.
It’s definitely not so much a question of difficulty once you learn his mechanics – I’ve two manned him.
It just seems that there’s little reason to go to a far corner of the zone away from WP’s in what’s already a far corner of the world map.
I love exploring the Iron Marches (though I’m biased as a Charr player), and am here pretty often for gathering and guild things. But it’s pretty blatantly obvious that the zone is a ghost town, even on a realm like TC, outside of guild events.
His location is a little goofy, but if you walk along the outer East side of the wall leading up to him, it’s easy to slip in pretty far up, and you can easily skip all of the Flame Legion on the way in. At a rough estimate, it probably takes me about a minute to get from the nearest waypoint to the shaman, maybe a little more. Not substantially worse than, say, the Temple of Dwayna or the Fire Elemental, if you know about the side entrance.
One nice thing about the Fire Shaman is that I can generally do his event at my leisure, while I’m doing the boss circuit. He takes long enough and is done by relatively few people, which means his event practically never finishes while I’m on my way in. And since the NPCs do decent work, you don’t need more than 2-3 people to reasonably take him down.
