You might attempt it on days where the daily achievement includes group events and/or daily revives. Usually if you advertise that you’re putting a group together for it and mention that it’s a great way to progress on those two achievements, you can reasonably quickly get a group to take her down.

Today is one of those days and nope, didn’t work.

On my server, I’ve noticed mapchat around the event that would indicate little interest in doing this event. I’ve done it a couple times and won’t do it again. It has a high failure rate and a high chance of death. The rewards are like rewards everywhere; if you are lucky you might get a blue item.
This is just one of the examples of imbalance in open world PvE in the game. Unbalanced events are sprinkled throughout the game and are pervasive in Orr. Most players are aware of this and simply avoid those events. This is simply one of those events. After months of comment on this and observing the game only get worse, I don’t have high hopes of anything changing. I’d suggest that you, like others, add it to your high risk/low reward list and don’t attempt it.

Unlike most people, I’m not after the reward. Like I said, I love to do everything and that means doing every single event just for the fun.
I’m already lvl 80 with full exotics on my way to ascended items (I already own 2) so the promise of better reward means nothing to me. I don’t farm world event bosses events despite the fact those are warranted to drop a rare and a small chance of a precursor (I’m not remotely interested on legendaries). Also, I have better ways to get gold/exp so that’s not the point.
Yes, it’s easy to move on (I already give up with the eternal bugged events on Queensdale) but I know there is more events like this and that really destroy my interest on playing (when I failed to get a group for the Witch the first time I tried, I was so disappointed I quit for the whole day missing one daily and therefore, one laurel which is pretty much the only meaningful reward I can get).
So yes, you may be you are right and I should skip those events, I may also just quit the game since PvP and WvW aren’t what I want to do but if that’s the case, I don’t lost anything trying to ask for a solution, after all, a man can dream

Champions almost never seem balanced in this game. You have some that are obscenely hard for level appropriate characters and easily stomped on by your lvl 80 alt, some that are easy no matter what, and a rare few which are annoying unless you’ve brought multiple lvl 80’s.
And that’s just low level areas. Some content (in Orr specifically) feels like it was designed never to actually be played, because it’s both obscenely hard in a cheapshot kind of way, and just as devoid of reward as it is enjoyment.
Omg dude you’re 100% right. For one, it’s hard to find at first first (took me a long while to actually find where the freakin guy is), and even then since no one even tries to do it, it’s basically impossible to do. Kinda reminds of the fire shaman from the charr starting area (forget exactly where). It’s not that I don’t like challenges, but, this one’s a little outrageous I think.

The Flame Shaman (as well as the Bandit Lieutenant on Queensdale) are nearly impossible for low lvls (despite the fact they are low lvl) BUT there is a way to beat them (once you know how, it may take time but is possible and easy). Others like the Troll on Caledon or the Ooze on Metrica are really hard but again, there is a way (an a lvl 80 can fight them face to face without problem).
Then we have the real heavyweight champions like the Kraith Witch on Caledon or the Troll on Queensdale. Again, those can kill even a lvl 80 with full exotics but a good player can beat them alone (although there is always a kittenload of people doing the troll so there is no need).
But the kittening Blood Witch… THERE IS NO WAY! No strategies, no luck, no gear, no build, no profession will help and even a group can be easily defeated.
I also like challenges, I really do. The only reason I learn how to play was to defeat the champions I mentioned before (specially the Bandit Lt. and the Ooze) but this is far beyond being a challenge.
