Champion events and rewards
Not all of the champions have chests after the fight, but I’ve seen many people missing a chest when it was a regular-sized one located in a “natural location” near the champion in the spawn area, and not a huge shiny one like after some event chains… Had to yell them to come back and collect their loot
Out of all of the ‘champions’ I’ve faced so far – none of them had a loot chest from what I observed. They should all have one, in my opinion. Perhaps, over time(as in, when someone on the team isn’t busy), you could throw in a unique skinned weapon / piece of armor as a rare piece of loot from the chest, based upon the champion.

Two events I can think of are the Champion Giant in Nageling, which took what seemed like 30 or 40 of us to kill, and the Champion Svanir in Wayfarer Hills. The Nageling Giant should get one just based on difficulty, the Svanir is actually a chained quest taking over the Svanir base, why shouldn’t there be any loot at the home base inside of the locked door the Champion busts out of?
I think these harder/longer to complete events need better rewards. Currently people ignore them unless they are in the way of the zerg. It’s common to see them spawned for very long periods of time, not because people can’t beat them, but because they aren’t worth the time to organise and beat them.
To be honest, nine times out of ten I find champion mobs much harder to beat than the big meta event bosses. With only a handful of people bothering to try it (and deal with the armour repairs) being downed and defeated is a lot more common for these encounters and the rewards aren’t worth the time, I’d like to kill more of them but players just don’t seem to want to do them.

Respectfully, this hasn’t been my experience at all. Every champion or even veteran I’ve seen or encountered has been taken down immediately, and only in a few cases did I have to wait a couple of minutes for someone else to show up. People seem enthusiastic about taking these mobs out. I do think after a time people will begin to be selective. Maybe you’re seeing the beginnings of that, but as I said, that has not been my experience.

The fact that the only thing most champion mobs have going for them is being absolutely enormous damage sponges is a big part of why no one likes doing them. Oh, you’ll have a couple people go down because they didn’t bother tapping the dodge button once in a while when the mob uses its one “super” move, but most of the time it’s just everyone zerging for ten minutes and then getting a paltry bronze out of it because there were so many people.

I really wish they would mark your minimap when you complete an event with a chest or at least notify you that the event had one. I am sure i have missed a bunch of them because i didn’t know it had one.
But anyway, i think every champion mob should have a chest. There was one in particular that i think needs one severely. It is that one giant that attacks an outpost in one of the charr zones that pretty much 1 shots everyone. Can’t remember the zone/outpost name but i am sure it will ring a bell for people who have done it.
