You should read and follow the thread linked, we talk about this exact topic.
Your behaviour makes a dialogue impossible.

Hehe Absolutely yes, we are allowed to give suggestions to Anet. I did dozen times.
Expecially on the link i gave you, i gave an epic content’s suggestion.
This forum should be meant for this purpose. Mind to link me an example of a content strategically analyzed by a single user with an entire suggestion and explanation of how it should be managed, who went online (with credits to him too)? As you see, it confirms the lack of communication with Anet, the point i focus. Not surely poke you or criticize your suggestion. Who clearly, tactically, i perfectly agree.
Or maybe, a paid hired designer (human nature) thinks to be far superior to “a stupid kid posting on a videogame forum” not even opening his mind to something tactically obiouvs as you explained?
Inderectly (but i guess you totally lost that part) i was “bumping” your thread hoping it takes attention by a dev, not being digged in a few minutes by other threads and forgot (considering i’m the only one who even spent his time giving you an answer)
Next time, thinks about it, instead of throw a flame or thinking everyone hates you

Analizing your strategy , i think the designer gave to Tamini this choice for a reason: he, as commander, understood their force was going to be killed. Spread them assaulting, would just makes things faster killing his entire army not even understanding who killed them. Some assaults must be made , with proper “numbers”. Not everyone is a King Leonidas who fight assaulting “for the glory” as much a minority or weaker compared to the enemy. So far, i would have done the same choice of Tamini, or simply retreat, feeling death was incoming. But clearly, a DE where a retreat happens at beginning and the DE ends, is not so fun hehe.
So, analyzing this difference of tactics, you should ask me “Fine. So why if 30 players are doing the DE, the course of the events is the same”? This is a lack of programming skills. The DE should analyze the number of players involved on the battle, THEN strategically choose what’s better (stands, waiting to be killed) or (assuming there are a lot of active players around) begin an assault. Making the DE “fun” and “exciting”.
You ask a dynamical strategical world, don’t expect any on this game (much less with the actual team). Maybe on gw3

I always thought anet missed a trick with de’s that could have been so much better. Whole zone events like in rift.

The centaurs should periodically invade allmof kryta, in a flood of cavalry, sweeping down fromthe hinterlands and if unchecked right into queensdale….sadly events are much more local.

The undead could invade the shiverpeaks in a massive flood, the branded in the dragon brand, bandit raids across kryta. Things that go beyond the local events in gw2 and capture the epic feeling of de’s in rift. Nothing like 80players steamrolling across a zone clashing with endless enemy forces, battling to the enemy champion and downing them in an epic conflict…..

Gw2 does local events really well, but fails to capture the epic feeling of larger zone or regional events could have done.

I think the problem at the moment is complexity. While I too would love to see centaurs laying siege to Divinity’s Reach if left unchecked, it would take a lot more coding and a LOT more debugging to get dynamic events to scale that far. One bug in any of those events could lock players out of the entire chain. We’re seeing multiple cases of that already with what we already have. In fact, with every update we see a lot of fixes. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.

Basically, in order to pull off what you’re suggesting, it would be best if they focus on fixing as many bugs as possible first. Only when we have worldwide stability, not just in Queensdale, would it be feasible to add new event chains and start linking them together for a more dynamic experience. I say not just Queensdale because it would be epic to see Harathi centaurs link up with the other 2 groups and make a push across 3 zones to Divinity’s Reach. I also imagine it would take a meta event chain longer than the one-time Karka one to return the status quo.

If you wait a few years, maybe your last post will be online for real.
A big event maybe, or a chain of big events, attempting to keep the bored playerbase interested on something new and worthy to be online. Don’t ask about loot, would be a funny topic lol (but ye, some karma lol)
