I’m not sure if this has been mentioned before (a quick search was fruitless), but I was surprised that I didn’t receive any credit or loot from Jormy even though I was present and active during the entire event. Here’s how it went down:

Phase 1 – I stood with the mob on the right side shooting at the wall to bring it down, then rushed up and laid on the hurt while he was on the ground. This sequence happened twice and I dealt many 10’s of thousands of points of damage – easily enough for kill/event credit.

Phase 2 – Here’s where it gets a little shaky. I stood on the right with the crowd again, but I focused my fire on the ice pillars, reviving downed players, and taking out mobs as opposed to hitting Jormy. I wasn’t able to get any major damage to stick, but I did a little damage.

At the end of the event, I didn’t receive a medal, which means I obviously didn’t get a chest. This seems wrong, as I clearly participated and dealt plenty of damage in the first phase of the event, and played an active supporting role in the second phase. This happened one other time in the same event, but only because I arrived late (5% HP left) and wasn’t able to land any significant damage.

Is the first phase not calculated? Is this a bug? Can I just show up at about 25% left and still get my gold reward?

Funny that you mentioned this… cause this happened to me too just less than 2 hours ago on Dragonbrand server.
I did miss the pre-event but I was in both phases and i always do my part breaking the walls/rezing players/killing mobs/ protecting the droids and of course, spamming the hurt on Jormy. I have done this 100’s of times. I blew it off as a glitch since this is the first time this happened to me. Any who hopefully this does not happen again!

I’d also like to mention that I wasn’t dead at the end, I didn’t disconnect, and I had been doing all sorts of other things prior to the event so DR wasn’t a factor.

In other random events I just have to dmg 5% of a veteran/champion mobs health to get gold.

So it sounds like it got bugged up for you.

Perhaps it was your 2nd kill within the once in 24 hour limit. I think the rollover is at 4 p.m. PST, and the event sometimes starts before the rollover. I had what you described happen to me, and then learned about the details of the 24 hour limit and the time of day it’s measured from.

Yes most likely you did the same boss twice within a 24hr period and thus recieved no chest. You can show up at 10% boss health, get bronze and still should get a chest – provided you didnt do that boss yet on that day with that character.

Same issue just this evening on FA for Jormag. I had been avoiding the Dragon events for several days because of the performance since the 2/28 patch (hint: not a case of multiple chests). This evening was the worst lag I’ve seen, and shooting that bazooka weapon was really an exercise in patience. So, I ended up getting zero credit, no chest at the end, not even a medal (see attached). Now, I did gold medal in the event to destroy the crystals and I got the regular loot for killing adds during parts of the Jormag fight.

What are you guys talking about? My original post was 9 days ago, well before the chest buff and limit to once/day.

And it’s not a 24 hour limit. The chest resets at the daily reset, so you could get it twice in 3 hours if the reset fell right in between.

In my experience, the bar for getting credit at the dragon events is pretty low. Once you pass it, you should get credit. What you did certainly seems like it should qualify. Maybe it is a bug.

Personally, I have crashed during the last phase when he was under 1/2 health, logged back in, did as much damage as I could and still got gold. Many times during the last phase I have also focused on ice pillars and rezzing people and still got gold.

happen to me last night… i was there just right before the dragon get to his last position.
but i can’t do any dmg to the dragon no matter where i move… so i end up getting
no credits even i was there since the 2nd half.
