Is it just me, or is there an absolutely OBSCENE amount of inquest guarding the generators? It seemed absolutely impossible even though I was 9 levels about the recommended level. I tried to use shadow assault to evade as many attacks as possible, but as soon as I ran out of initiative I’d get stun locked and killed before I could use my healing skill. It would be nice if they could tone it down a bit.

It might help to clarify which event in which zone you’re talking about?

I think I know the one (Bloodtide Coast), and whilst I’d agree with you assuming my guess of the event and location is right, clarifying this will assist others in giving meaningful feedback too

Yeea the Bloodtide Coast one does have insane amounts of Inquest, and the respawn rate is nothing to sneeze at either.
I would not recommend doing that with less than 2 other people. (Or two with nice AoEs)

Yes, there are alot of inquest, however it is soloable.. unless they buffed the inquest recently.

I was able to comfortably solo this, but then again I’m a Guardian and pretty much ignore mobs. I can understand how an Elementalist or Thief might have major problems with this.

Depends on profession realy, when I did that event with my Elementalist I was lucky because 3 more people joined, I would have never completed it alone.

On my warrior though I had no problems, I actualy was happy about respawn because I had more enemies to kill.

That’s how I normally feel about events like this. When it’s a huge swarm of foes all at once I get frustrated because it’s overwhelming, but when it’s a steady stream of small numbers (1-3 at a time) with enough time to fight each wave it’s okay.

I’ve watched Mesmers have problems with stuff that I roll through and I’ve seen Rangers often have an easier time than I do, so I would agree that it is less about skill and more about the profession that you have chosen. In general any other Guardian can do exactly what I can do, which is done better than most other professions. I believe that may be why I see more Guardians than any other profession when I’m out exploring.

I agree. There are so many places, throughout all of Tyria that there are to many mobs grouped up on key locations. I didn’t mine on my Warrior, but I feel bad for the squishy classes. The devs should really rethink their mob placements.

There is a fine line between a hard area and an annoying area. Players are unhappy when something is more annoying then hard to do.
