Does no one play during the week
I just recently bought this game. The weekend was quite fun – there were lots of people around to do events with and such. Tonight, there is literally no one in zone chat. Every event I see is a ‘clear these guys out because the own the place’ aka, they’ve been there for a while and no one contested them. Is this normal? Do people pretty much only play on weekends?
I dont think it has to do much with the weekend or the week but with the daily achievement. I suspect you are in a starter zone. Many high level players come to starter zones to complete daily achievements. The reason is that events and kills in a starting zone are easier (specially for a high levelcharacter even if they are downleveled). the achievements are regional bound. So one day it can be in Ascalon (charr-territory), the other day in Kryta (human-territory). When it comes to general things like events and kills people favor the human starter area (Queensdale) cause of the easyness and the event chains.
So bottom line it has nothing to do with the time of the week. On one hand people have more time to play on the weekend. On the other hand many people who play all evenings, go out on saturday eve.

All games have more players Fri-Sun. People have school/work on weekdays.

Time of day is a big factor during the week also. Once the 5-6 o’clock hour hits on the East Coast, you’ll start to get more people logging on as they get out of work.

(there is part of me thinking jeez, typical for Americans to only talk and act from their own perspective. Luckely I know from personal experience this is only a portion of the americans)

Right and as the hours move on then people from further west get out of work they start to log on too. If I was only thinking from my perspective, I wouldn’t have noted 5-6 o’clock East Coast I would have just said 5-6 o’clock and expected everyone to know what I meant.
