So…I love the look of the dragons, their animation, the actual fights are even sort of fun. But is it even possible to fail the events?

I’ve fought the Claw of Jormag when I’ve participated in one wave of the elementals that come from his breath…then got called away to deal with something in real life. I come back to a gold medal and a chest to loot.

It just seems a real shame that all these dragons really are are loot pinatas. There are timers online, and people just show up for free loot. No skill needed. No chance of three of the most epic sounding events in the game of changing the world or even being failed.

Hard to pretend that isn’t disappointing. :-( Is there a way to fail that I’m just not aware of? Can that be expanded on? They start to feel like a facebook game with better graphics. Log in according to a timer, swing your sword a few times, bag loot, switch browser pages so the boss doesn’t see you…

Yes they’re loot pinatas and very poor quality pinatas too. Wasting 20 minutes+ on claw for 4 blues and 1 useless green isn’t even enough for travel cost. I stopped all dragons completely cuz they’re pretty much one of the biggest waste of time gw2 has. You’ll have to kill claw over 1000 times to have a 10% of getting an exotic from his chest, its just LOLZ.

I’m not sure about you guys, the Dragons are cool looking but the fight is not epic at all and they supposed to be Champions of the Elders. Should they be as strong as The Destroyer? who decimated the entire Dwarves race. Especially Zhaitan, sure we had a fleet of warships that shot it down, but I still didn’t feel any epic fight at all and he IS the Elder Dragon. If Zhaitan was that easy, wonder how are the other 5 Elders are gonna be? cake walk!

I agree that the Dragons look awesome and have cool animations. The rewards do suck, though. But then again, rewards aren’t great for anything really. 90% of the time I get gear that isn’t even for my profession. The other 10% of the time I get blues or worse.

zhaitan was probably one of the worst. spamming 2 for 20 minutes and bye bye zhaitan.

I was wondering if the dragon fights can be lost by the players.

I would appreciate the addition of more “raid-level” open world encounters that are more challenging. Since you arent limited to 10/15/25 people everyone can take part to the best of their ability regardless of itemlevel or affiliation.

I assume one of the main factors to keep them hard is proper scaling, and DE scaling in general does need some tweaks imo.

yesterday when the new dungeon was released i did a 3 man Shatterer, 3 MAN!!!!!! I never seen under 20+ people on a dragon before lol It took us over an hour of spam to finallt beat him and guess what i got? Four juicy blues and 1 gree. AMAZING!!!!
