Hello,

Quick question here: I’ve recently returned to GW2 after a bit of a hiatus, and have started leveling a new character.

Something I’ve noticed is the large event farming zerg in Queensdale.

My question: Do players actually farm these events from 1-80? And is that the most effecient way to level?

I don’t need a lecture on taking the ‘quickest route’ as I have found myself doing a combination and plan to continue to do so. It’s just when I played, the event farming wasn’t really done in Queensdale like it is now, so I’m just wondering if players do it to level quick, and if you can level quick from 1-80 by farming these event chains just in Queensdale alone?

Afaik, the Queensdale event zerg — at least on days when it is applicable — is following the path of least resistance to get events, group events or champions for the daily. I’ve also seen forum references to people leveling there, but I’ve never seen a person in game mention leveling. It seems like it would be skritt skritt boring to me.

It’s just one of the easiest places to get your dailies. There are always champions, Veterans, Group events, and normal events going on. It’s easy to get 15 kill variety, and has a kitten ton of ambient critters. It has it’s own crafting and it even has it’s own chest boss. It’s just like that jack of all trades but a master of none.
