Fort Trinity events impossible
Yup, dead game, even forums are dead
Uhh, sorry but no. The game isn’t dead.
I’m guessing that you mean the mission where you have to protect four trebuchets around south of Fort Trinity, Straits of Devastation. This DE is actually soloable and I’ve done it with both my Guardian and my Mesmer alone. You need to keep on moving from one end to the other. IIRC this is a part of the DE chain that leads up to the invasion of the Balthazar temple. Not many players are willing to really do this because it’s a rather long quest chain and honestly it’s quite a pain.
If you’re facing trouble levelling, since you mentioned it, just focus on doing the hearts and map completion for Straits. It’ll still be a little lackluster in Malchor’s, but it does get a little better in Cursed Shore. Hang in there and good luck

This indeed clover.
Just….there are no hearts needed for the area.
The temple events (even the pre-ones) seems to be scaling more to level 80 players in level of difficulty. I dont find the souther invasion hard (as a level 80 player). It is actually a very good way to do your events for your monthly.
To OP. Fighting in Malchor’s leap is always a bit of a hard point when your doing your first character. The reason is that the level of enemy’s are starting to aim for end game content. So the Risen you meet now have the same skills and abillity’s as the ones you meet later on in the level 80 map. The only difference is that they don’t hit you that hard yet.
I would suggest playing earlier area’s like e.g. mount maelstrom or fireheart rise. You can also go to Frostgorge sound (level 70-80 map), wich are all a bit more friendly to level. When you hit 76-ish you can try again.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
All events in all areas except extremely low ones are completely off the charts for one player to do. I just had to single handedly defend a group of npcs against 4 veterans and 30+ mobs. I want to know who thought this was a good idea, I’m about to quit this game.
This event is long and hard to solo but is doable.
I don’t know what profession you are playing but if you want to solo events with lots of mobs you need a defensive build with some healing.
I soloed all of Malchor events except temple priestess ones and aquatic ones.
The rewards are crappy, it’s just for the challenge.
You don’t have to do these events.
But if you want to do them for fun, you need to adapt your build to your playstyle.
Be warned however that ANET is making some of these DE harder.
Mostly the ones with champions, in last patch they all became crazy.
Maybe because otherwise they can be soloed by weird solo players.
So now finally nobody is doing them.
I’m not dying, the problem is I can’t protect the NPCs im supposed to protect because while I kill 5 mobs the rest of them kill the NPCs. Its not hard its litterally impossible now, not because I die, but because there are to many mobs and they attack the npcs, not me, so nothing I can do about that.
Im not even getting to the trebuchets by the way, the party departs for the trebuchets and immediatelly dies at the door of Fort Trinity because of an ambush of 10+ risen mobs including veterans.
Guys, he said Fort Trinity, so it’s Straits of Devastation. He also mentioned a level 73 warrior, so I’m guessing that’s the character he has problems with.
For clarification: I mentioned Malchor’s because I was saying that you’ll find more people in the next two maps, though the next one, Malchor will still be rather… quiet.
Back on topic: I’ve honestly never seen that happening because when I get down to the Fort, the team is usually all ready at the 4 trebs south of it. I honestly don’t really know how to help you on this, but I’ll head down to Straits in my server (and possibly 2 others with guesting) to see if it’s up and test it out for you.
This is rather off-forum but since you’re frustration seems to come mostly on the fact that you feel like you’ve hit a brick wall:
As Ayochek mentioned, this isn’t an event you must do, if you really find it difficult, skip it. Or if you find the map terrible, do as mercury suggested: try a different map. However, if you’re as bullheaded as I was back then (I insisted on finishing Orr despite it being densely populated by mobs and lacking in players), find a way in. I remember seeing the gate at Lone Post being closed and for some odd reason it wasn’t something I could attack back then (possibly DE chain fault.). I just swam around, ran like stupid and somehow found a way in. Not exactly helpful, but it’s been a very long time since I completed Straits so… yeah. Once you’re in, you’ll have plenty of hearts and stuff to complete
PS: If you really need help, hook me up. I’m usually on in the evening, GMT+8.

You mean escorting the supplies to Thunderhead, correct? I’m honestly not sure how your spawning any vets running that chain alone, let alone ten, unless there are a lot of people in the area who just aren’t helping but upping the difficulty. I’ve run that chain on my own multiple times (including post-mega Orr scaling update), and you should only be getting 3-4 spaced out normal mobs over the entire run.

I agree that the Anet experiments in game balance have been a huge failure, especially in Orr. DE’s in the cursed shore are simply silly right now for open world PvE. That said, for leveling purposes, you really need to be on a populated server to enjoy the game maximally. Try guesting on Tarnished Coast or one of the other populated servers.

Actually, I found the first phase to be quite enjoyable. This latest phase, though, has made the DE’s I’ve done in Orr massively un-fun. Finally, the idea of a zombie chicken turning its kitten towards me and projecting an egg is disgusting.
